Gstyle Grand Slam II electric brushless motor

Gstyle from Japan have introduced their new Grand Slam II 540-class electric brushless motor. Developed with power increased and better drivability in mind the motor will offer up to 15 percent more power compared to its predecessor while offering a smoother and better controllable throttle feeling and also improved braking performance for a more connected feeling between driver and vehicle. A new can design with large vent openings keeps the operation temperatures at bay while heavy duty solder tabs ensure easy and reliable soldering. The motor will become available as 3.5T modified and 21.5T Ver.4 JMRCA variants first with more winding options to come.

Double Ceramic ceramic motor bearings & lube

Double Ceramic from California have introduced their new ceramic motor bearings as well as their ceramic-infused bearing lube. The first product is focusing on reducing magnetic interference around the motor to maximise electric motor performance. The full ceramic 540 motor Bearing achieves this with the use of Zirconium Oxide balls and races, which has 80 percent less friction than bare chrome steel balls, while also being 40 percent lighter. This results in less centrifugal force on the balls and less heat generation between the balls and races. The bearing also uses a variation of Double Ceramic’s custom moulded PEEK cage, resulting in no magnetic interference in brushless motors, resulting in quicker spool-up and higher RPM. The Full Ceramic motor bearing also contains no shielding, further reducing friction and increasing high RPM capability.

Trinity D8.5 1/8th scale brushless motor

Trinity have introduced their new D8.5 electric brushless motor for 1/8th scale vehicles. It features a new high-torque stator design and an all-new 4-pole rotor with multi-point rotational sensor pickups. Dual sensor ports ensure easy wiring as do the heavy duty low-resistance solder tabs. The grooved can design allows for more surface area and thus colour running temperatures and the motor is available in 1700kV, 2000kV and 2300kV variants from now on.

Ruddog RP540 fixed timing spec motors

Ruddog have introduced their new range of fixed timing spec racing electric brushless motors. The powerplants utilise the same design as the RP540 stock motors but feature a fixed timing sensor plate, meaning they are the perfect hand-out motor for club races, sanctioned championships and long distance races. In addition to the new motors Ruddog are also offering a separate timing insert to outfit existing RP540 motors to the new fixed timing specification, allowing racers to use the same motor in open and sanctioned races. The PR540 fixed timing motors are available in 10.5T 13.5T 17.5T and 21.5T specifications.

SchuurSpeed Xtreme Spec V4 stock brushless motors

Around for a while but only officially announced now are SchuurSpeed’s new Xtreme Spec V4 stock class brushless motors. They are engineered and designed in Southern California to EFRA, IFMAR, and ROAR specifications and feature an extremely short stator for maximised RPM and low internal resistance as well as the latest rotor design using a high-Gauss 1600+ magnetic material mixture. The included rotor is a 12.5x24mm and the new solder tabs and collector ring design makes for low resistance but also lowers the centre of gravity. The redesigned airflow can ensures even lower operating temperatures and quicker cool off and the CNC endplates ensure sensor and bearings are perfectly aligned. The completely rebuildable motor comes equipped with high-precision RPM bearings as standard and it weighs in at only 145g, which is 30g lighter than the previous motor. The power plant is available in 10.5T to 25.5T specifications and it has already proven its capabilities by winning the 13.5T Wheeler and 17.5T Buggy classes at this year’s Desert Classics, it took podiums at the JConcepts Stock Nationals and scored a Top 10 finish at the recent Reedy Race.

Hiro Seiko XeRun V10 G3 lightweight screw kit

Hiro Seiko have introduced their new lightweight screw kit for the Hobbywing XeRun V10 G3 brushless motor. The set includes three M2x43mm titanium screws and a single M2.4x5mm fastener, the latter being available in a multitude of colours including orange, red, gun metal, dark blue, bright blue and purple. While adding a certain bling to the motor the set will lower the overall weight while, most importantly, it will allow the motor to rev higher and perform better as the fasteners will have no magnetic influence on the rotor which will result in a more agile behaviour.
