SchuurSpeed V4 stock brushless motor

SchuurSpeed have introduced their new V4 brushless stock motor. Designed to comply with ROAR rules – homologation is excepted late March – the motors feature an optimised short stack stator, new rotors, revised sensors, and they are 30 grams lighter; all contained in a specially designed can to maximise cooling. The motor will become available in 13.5T, 17.5T and 21.5T specifications and has already proven its performance by taking multiple stock class wins at last weekend’s Desert Classic race.

Hobbywing XeRun V10 G3 Modified & Stock motors

Coming soon from Hobbywing are the new XeRun V10 G3 Modified and Stock brushless motors. An evolution of the previous G2 motors, both are of a radical new design that does away with wide parts of the classic motor can in favour of longer front and rear end bells that are also tailor-designed to suit the application. While the 5.5T to 8.5T modified motors, intended for off-road applications, sport smaller openings in the end bells to prevent dirt from entering, the 3.5T to 5.0T modified and 10.5T to 21.5T stock motors will come with larger openings for added airflow and cooling. Both end bell designs are also available separately as upgrades. The updated can design greatly reduces overall weight with the modified motors weighing at approximately 161g while the stock variants weigh in at about 132g. While being lower in weight, Hobbywing claim the stock variants also produce four percent increased torque and up to 16 percent higher RPM compared to the G2. Also new for the G3 are a 26 percent larger front and a 6 percent smaller rear bearing which leads to more stable and smoother running motors. Both variants also come with stepless adjustable timing, in order to fine-tune the power characteristics. The specifications are rounded off by heavy duty solder tabs and a single sensor wire port.

RCSS R1 V16 Beast-Mode performance kit

Coming from RC Speed Secrets and made for the R1 Wurks V16 stock brushless motors is the Beast-Mode motor performance kit. The set includes three titanium motor can screws, three endbell screws as well as a titanium motor ring and RCSS Next-Level hybrid ceramic motor bearings. As the stock steel screws and ring interfere with magnetic fields in the motor, causing drag on the rotor and holding it back from its full potential, the included titanium screws allow the motor to rev higher and perform better, something that is further helped by the free-spinning ceramic bearings. The set is best used with the V16 13.5T and 17.5T motors and it is available with “Bada Bling” oil-slick design or stealth black screws.

Reds Racing VX2 540-size brushless motor

Reds Racing have introduced their new VX2 540-size brushless motor line. With a new low internal resistance design the motor offers improved performance and efficiency while the new high airflow can enhances cooling efficiency by 20 percent compared to the 1st generation motor. The new high power stator does away with a separate insulator which reduces weight and improves cooling while pure copper wires and low resistance collector rings guarantee a maximum in power and RPM. The motor complies with IFMAR, ROAR, BRCA and JMRCA rules and it is available in 5.5T to 8.5T modified as well as 10.5T, 13.5T, 17.5T, 21.5T and 25.5T stock windings.
