Fenix DFV2 5.5T & 8.5T brushless motors

Fenix have introduced two new brushless motors out of their DFV2 range with the 5.5T and 8.5T modified windings complementing the already existing variants. Built to meet EFRA, ROAR and IFMAR specifications the motors feature balanced 12.5mm high-torque rotors, premium-grade Neodymium magnets, Kawasaki steel stator plates and 99.9 percent pure Copper windings. All this is housed in CNC-machined cans that feature heatsinks and endplate venting for maximum cooling. Both windings variants are available now.

Team Powers M-Radon ESC & MBX sensored BL motor

Team Powers have released first information on their forthcoming M-Radon sensored brushless speed controller and sensored MBX brushless motor. Aimed towards the use in 1/27th mini-size cars, 1/10th motorcycles and other applications, the speed controller makes use of hardware and software ideas taken over from the Radon V2 1/10th speed controller to create a powerful yet widely adjustable ESC that allows for adjustable drive and brake frequencies, power band control and even data recording functions. The controller is adjustable using a simple LED programming card or an optional PC interface and it is usable with 2S LiPo packs and up to 10,000kv brushless motors. As for the motor, the MBX is of a sensored design for improved low-RPM start up without cogging issues, it measures 16x27mm and is available in a 7200kv or 8400kv variant.

Castle Creations 1406-series 4-pole crawler motors

Castle Creations have introduced their new 1406 short can sensored brushless crawler motors. Designed with scalers, trail trucks and Ultra 4 racing in mind, the new “slate” colour motors offer high peak power and exceptional low-RPM startup control. Combined with any of Castle Creation’s X series speed controllers these motors will enable drivers to fine tune and set the controllability of their ride to the maximum, or even use the aux wire to toggle between drag brake settings for example. The 4-pole motors come pre-wired and in the four windings options of 1900kv, 2280kv, 2850kv and 3800kv.

Scorpion RS-3420 21.5T ETS version brushless motor

Scorpion’s RS-3420 21.5T ETS electric brushless motor builds on the proven RS-3420 series modified and stock motors for exceptional performance and drivability. It features a 12.5mm rotor with patented screw-type surface for maximum torque and low running temperatures while a built-in cooling fan further reduces internal heat built-up. The can’s heatsink design offers up to 200 percent more cooling surface compared to plain can motors while a special design allows to maximise the copper fill of the windings. The motor, that is the hand-out motor for the Formula class of the Euro Touring Series, comes with special ETS markings for easy identification and it is available now.
