Dualsky Z5 challenge motor

Dualsky introduce the updated Z5 challenge motor that incorporate an improved 13mm diameter rotor with better temperature stability, as well as new can and packaging design. The ROAR and IFMAR approved motor now also includes a manual with gearing recommendations.

Novak Ballistic stators & power connector

Novak now offer three new wound stators for its Ballistic 540 series brushless motors. Available in 10.5-Turn, 13.5-Turn and 17.5-Turn these stators are hand-wound with Novak’s popular red-wire and are epoxy-dipped for higher temperature tolerances for the ultimate performance for top-level racing. Novak also released their Power Connector for heavy-duty applications. Made from high-quality copper, which is gold-plated for the best performance, this plug set is designed for maximum contact between the connector surfaces. The connector features a split-input power plug and heavy-duty receptacles which allows for a clean and tight plug connection for the ultimate power with little to no losses due to resistance and heating.

Four Torke 4-pole brushless motors

Team Torke release the new Four Torke 4-pole sensorless brushless motors for 1/8 scale buggies, truggies and monster trucks. The 6840-6 and 6040-4 motors are 6S/1780kv and 4S/2600kv variants and sport a diameter of 41.8mm respectively with a length of 68mm. The larger 7540-6 is a 75mm long motor, again with 41.8mm diameter, but 2220kv rating and designed for up to 6S input.

Novak GTB 2 X-Drive/Ballistic BL systems

Novak release two new brushless controller and motor combos based on the GTB 2 X-Drive and the company’s Ballistic competition BL motors. The GTB 2 X-Drive is a sensor-based controller for top-level non-timing racing, and sport a low-profile heat sink, Novak’s X-Drive firmware for improved throttle feel, smooth braking and cooler running temperatures as well as build-in low-voltage protection for LiPo and LiFe battery packs. The combo sets are available with a Ballistic 8.5T or 17.5T “blinky” class sensored brushless motor.

Schuur Speed Extreme Spec BL motors

New at Exotek Racing are the Schuur Speed Extreme Spec brushless race motors. Engineered and designed in the USA to ROAR specifications the 540-size motors are available in 13.5T, 17.5T and 21.5T variants and are of a sensored design, come with 12.5mm sintered Neodymium rotor, high quality ball bearings and ribbon style sensor cable. An optimised airflow through the motor makes for cool operating temperatures improving speed and run time.

Novak Club sensored controller

Team Novak’s Club sensored speed controller is specially designed for the need of club and intermediate-level racers. Offering only a single throttle profile the small and lightweight ESC does not confuse with various setting options and allows for even competition. Based on the Edge 2S platform the controller offers 24 MOSFET design, a heavy-duty BEC, low-voltage and thermal protection. Available from end of March and also as set including a 17.5T or 25.5T VTA brushless motor.

Nosram Pure 2 BL motor additions

Following the initial release Nosram have added 10.5, 9.5, 7.5, 5.5, 5.0 & 4.0T versions of their Pure 2 brushless modified motor to the line up. The main focus in the development process was the highest possible efficiency and power output and so the Pure 2 features a higher power rating at improved temperature characteristics and super low friction. The dual axis balanced 12.5mm sintered worksteam rotor guarantees precise running and significantly improved efficiency. Nosram’s preciSensor system and the extra large ball bearings further boost the motors performance. Finally the ultra lightweight, precision machined 7075-T6 aluminium housing features optimized cooling cut-outs for lowest running temperatures at full power output. The full lineup includes 10.5, 9.5, 8.5, 7.5, 6.5, 5.5, 5.0, 4.5 & 4.0 turns.
