Yokomo R160 & R100 Drift spec speed controller

Yokomo have released a special version of the R160 / R100 speed controller, which is explosively popular due to its smooth throttle feeling, equipped with an original program dedicated to drifting, called ‘Drift Spec’ added. Many users have already installed the conventional R series in drift cars, and especially in RWD drift cars as it seems that the ease of handling in the low speed range and torque can brought out by changing the program, but in the Drift Spec, this is done by default. In addition to optimising the throttle feeling for drift driving, the delay time when shifting from braking to reverse by throttle operation has also been modified, making it even easier to use for drift driving. Of course, if you use with the dedicated programmer R26P, you can easily change the feeling to bring out the optimum characteristics according to the driving conditions and the driver’s preference.

Absima Revenge CTS ESC V3.1 software update

Absima have developed new software for their CTS 10 V3 Revenge and CTS 8 V3 Revenge range of speed controllers. The new V3.1 software now includes two brake profiles, a linear and a dynamic brake control. Whereas the linear brake control features the initial feel and brake strength of the V3 software, the new dynamic brake control features a much stronger brake rate up to 150% and provides a dynamic brake power which can be fully adjusted. The new V3.1 software is available on the Absima homepage.

LRP Antix line of hobby LiPo batteries

After months of development and testing, LRP are pleased to present their new Antix batteries. The perfect LiPos for hobby and amateur drivers who are mindful of their budget but still want to run LiPo batteries of high quality. The classic, rounded ‘stick pack’ shape in 134mm length also fits perfectly into older chassis that were designed for this shape and length. Due to the 4mm off-centre cable outlet, the battery posts are also no longer in the way. Available in 3100 and 4100mAh and with popular connectors such as Tamiya, T-Plug, XT90 and EC5, these will be followed soon by 3S – 6S configurations for the hardcore bashers.

Yokomo R160 & R100 speed controllers

Yokomo have introduced two new speed controllers, the R160 and R100, ideal for both onroad and offroad categories. The R160, boasts top-class performance and has been tested in the modified category of touring cars, etc. producing overwhelming power and durability. With a wide range of throttle feeling settings, it is possible to refine the speedo to your personal feeling. The compact design of R100 makes it a great match for the stock category. The aluminium housing contributes to a lower centre of gravity with a height of approximately 12.3mm and does not impair the kinetic performance of the machine. The weight is also light at about 22g, which makes it easy to adjust the left-right balance of the machine. You can change the program with the same menu as R160. The dedicated programmer R26P to maximise the performance of both ESCs will also be released at the same time.

Reedy Radon 2 Crawler 550 brushed motors

Reedy have introduced their all-new Radon 2 Crawler 550 brushed motors. The Crawler 550 can easily be recognised by its extended length can which houses a longer armature and magnets, resulting in more torque than a typical shorter 540 can. An increase in torque makes the Crawler 550 ideal for heavier rigs or when encountering higher grip or steeper terrain. Thanks to the Crawler 550’s 5-slot design, it still is capable of delivering precision throttle control, which is ideal for traversing the varying and changing terrain encountered on the trail. Dual ball bearings improve performance and reliability while adjustable timing allows for adjustments to compensate for different drivetrain configurations that require reverse motor rotation, and for fine-tuning power output. The Radon 2 Crawler 550 motor is available in 10, 12, 14, 16, and 20-turn versions to suit a variety of applications and speed requirements.

Dash RS-tune V3 21.5T outlaw motor

Adding to the Dash line of RS-tune V3 series variant is the 21.5T outlaw motor. The new generation features a high airflow arrow design with large openings in the machined aluminium can to guarantee maximum cooling efficiency, a lower weight and minimised power fading in high ambient temperatures. The redesigned stator helps to achieve a much lower internal resistance, increasing in torque which enhances the overall performance. The RS-Tune V3 motors are specially designed for most Asian stock racing classes as they are already equipped with a standard (V2RSS123) rotor, that keeps them within the KV and Amps requirements.
