Team Powers Radon Pro V4.1 2S ESC

New from Team Powers, the Radon Pro V4.1 (2S) Speed Control is the next evolution of the Radon Pro V4. Sporting a limited edition casing with golden highlights, there is more fins on the case to better dissipate heat and lower the speed control’s temperature. Without the fan the ESC has a height of only 15.5mm for a low centre of gravity. Some internal components have been upgraded to improve the reliability while the software has also received some tweaks. With Limit Power and Limit Power Range, two function were added to control the initial power within a throttle range to adapt to different traction conditions, while the throttle frequency can now support 32KHZ with better linearity.

RC Dynamics 1S Super Low ESR Power capacitor

From RC Dynamics, this 1S Super Low ESR Power capacitor helps minimises power losses to give greater performance. The primary purpose of the ESC power capacitor is to minimise power losses caused by the high frequency switching currents generated during motor commutation/control. The goal being to maximise ESC performance and minimise the heat generated in the internal circuits. It is very important that the ESC has a power source with minimal source impedance. The latest LiPo batteries used in 1S on road racing now already provide an incredibly low internal resistance. Therefore in order for the capacitor to provide maximum benefit it must have an ESR (Effective Series Resistance) at the relevant frequencies, at least an order of magnitude less than the LiPo battery internal resistance. The traditional Aluminium Electrolytic power caps do not have such a low ESR. The RC Dynamics 1S Super Low ESR Power capacitor, is manufactured using the highest performance components available and is tailored to suit RC models powered by a 1S LiPo Voltage source. Prototypes have been highly successful, installed in the winning cars at the 2020 Stock World and European Championships, also at UK National level.

Reedy Zappers SG4 HV-LiPo 2S batteries

New for 2021, Reedy introduce their new Zappers SG4 HV-LiPo 2S batteries. Zappers SG4 batteries incorporate state-of-the-art LiPo chemistry with advancements in construction that result in incremental improvements in power output and internal resistance with huge gains in durability. Featuring a 3.8V/cell nominal voltage, meaning that the battery can be safely charged to 4.35V/cell. It is not a secret that more voltage equals more power, so there is no easier way to increase power and top speed than a higher charge voltage. Even when the typical 8.40V (4.2V/cell) charging limit is enforced, Zappers SG4 shine thanks to their inherently flat discharge curve, which results in higher voltage deeper into the race. Available in several configurations, including all-new 2S Slim Stick and 4S Shorty models, for a variety of on-road and off-road applications.
