SkyRC S60 60W multi-chemistry AC charger

SkyRC have introduced the S60 multi-chemistry AC charger. Housed in a compact case the 60W charger offers several charge programs including a dedicated high voltage setting for the latest generation of LiPo cells that allow a charge end voltage of 4.35V per cell. Several safety features including capacity and automatic charging current limit allow for a convenient use of the device that sports a back-lit display and a 4-button operation. Furthermore the charger can be coupled to Windows-based PCs to increase the versatility and for software updates. The package is rounded out by an internal balancer and a build-in fan unit. Team Orion dDrive 2-in-1 brushless power unit

Team Orion have introduced their all-new dDrive 2-in-1 brushless power unit for 1/10th scale on-road and off-road vehicles. The revolutionary system combines a highly efficient and very powerful 4-pole brushless motor and a brushless controller in one simple to use package. Coming from the mind of Oscar Jansen the unit is used in place for the usual motor and is very easy to setup while the integrated system uses only a minimal amount of wires for improved reliability and less hassle especially for beginners. The integrated controller offers three different drive modes, user-adjustable performance settings, overheat protection and low-voltage cut-off while the 4-pole motor is housed in an aluminium heatsink can. The 58mm long unit is splash-proof, it comes pre-wired with a T-type connector and it is available as 2700kv and 3000kv variant.

Reds Racing TX120 1/10th brushless speed controller

During this week’s EFRA 1/8th Gas Offroad European Championship Italian company Reds Racing have their forthcoming TX120 1/10th scale brushless speed controller on show. Known for their successful range of nitro engines Reds Racing recently also stepped into electric propulsion with the release of their 1/8th and 1/10th scale brushless motors. As for the speed controller, the TX120 was developed with a focus especially on 13.5T stock racing and a good brake feel, but the speedo will also work with modified motors down to 3.0T. Measuring 31.38x19mm and weighing in at 45g the 2S LiPo-compatible and 120A-rated ESC offers 6V/3A BEC output and it sports all-black wires for a pro-level look. Also available will be a dedicated programming box that allows to adjust the software parameters that, from what is understood, will include class-standard items such as timing and turbo functions beside others. More detailed information about both products will become available in time for the release.

Gens Ace have a new high-performance LiPo hardcase battery pack available. Made from the latest generation 6000mAh 70C cells for improved power supply throughout the run the battery also features 5mm connector tubes which are accessible from both the top and the bottom. The battery, that comes in a new black colour hardcase, has already shown its potential with the maiden win of Julian Borowski at this year’s Luxembourg round of the ETS.

Available as 70C 5800mAh and 5200mAh and also as lightweight 60C 4200mAh and 3300mAh batteries all use high-quality and very durable cells for reliable performance over a long time. The hardcase packs utilise 4mm bullet type power and 2mm balancer connectors and they come including a pre-wired balance harness.

Hobbico have introduced the new TrakPower Century line of high-performance Century LiPo battery packs. Made using the latest generation of high-density cells with improved durability for reduced “swelling” tendencies even in high amp and high temperature conditions the packs offer high discharge rated due to their 100C rating. To allow for the best possible weight-to-power ratio the available capacities are carefully selected with Modified and Stock racers in mind. The range includes a 3.7V 1S pack, several 7.4V 2S and 14.8V 4S packs with bullet-type or Star plug connectors. In addition to the eleven Century packs, TrakPower has also added five 50C packs to its lineup.

Castle Creations Mamba Monster X brushless ESC

Castle Creations have announced their new Mamba Monster X brushless speed controller for 1/8th scale buggies and trucks, 1/10th scale monster trucks and generally all vehicles of up to 6.8kg of weight. The 2S to 6S controller is usable with sensored and sensorless motors and it features an adjustable high-voltage BEC system capable of delivering 5.5V to 8.0V output and an additional auxiliary wire that allows to adjust parameters such as torque control and maximum throttle using the auxiliary channel on compatible transmitters. Data logging and Futaba T4PX-compatible telemetry features round out the package. The waterproof ESC with a footprint of 53x49mm weighs in at 111g and it will become available separately or as combo package including the Castle Creations 1515 2200kv or 1512 2650kv brushless motor.
