Muchmore have introduced a new optional upper case for the Fleza Pro V2 1S 1/12th scale speed controller. The optional aluminium case is of a heatsink design for improved cooling efficiency compared to the previous full-face case. The case will make for a slightly increased case size of 30.5×36.5×20.0mm and a weight of 42.3g. Included with the top case comes an optional metal sticker for an even visual appearance.
ORCA have released first teaser images of their forthcoming new OE101 spec class speed controller. It features an extreme low centre of gravity design that makes it possibly the thinnest spec class ESC on the market while still offering the smooth driving feel and power delivery of its bigger brother, the OE1. Full details on specifications and features will becoming available soon with the controller being set for an August release.
Reedy’s all-new SC400X brushes speed controller, standard equipment in the Element Enduro RTR, is now available on its own. The speedo is 2S to 3S LiPo compatible and equipped with advanced features intended specifically for crawlers and trail trucks. Fully proportional forward and reverse gives precision control on rocky terrain while an option of 0%, 50%, or 100% drag brake setting helps maintain control on steep ascents and descents. Convenient dual auxiliary power leads can be used to power LED lighting or other scale accessories. The durable water-resistant case protects the ESC from the elements and an integrated heatsink keeps temperatures in check when using high-power motors during extended sessions. Flexible silicone wires, a low-resistance battery T-plug connector, and bullet motor connectors round off the list of features.

Reds Racing have announced the release of their all-new 14.8V 4S hardcase LiPo battery packs. Available as 8000mAh 100C and 6500mAh 75C variants, both are made of high-quality cells and they come in a protective hardcase pre-wired with industry-standard balancer ports and T-type connectors. The 4S packs are ideal for competition 1/8th scale on-road and off-road usage with 1/10th and 1/12th scale 2S and 1S packs following at a later date.
Hobbywing have announced the release of their new XeRun XR10 Pro G2 brushless competition speed controller for 1/10th scale classes. The updated variant of the ultra-popular XR10 Pro features high-performance 32-bit M4 microprocessing for super-fast and precise control. A built-in reverse battery polarity protection protects both the controller and battery when things are getting a bit hectic in the pits and a range of new accessories such as non-polarised capacitor banks and over-sized fan mounts complement the G2 ESC. The latter are machined aluminium heatsink design frames and allow the use of 30mm fan units in high ambient temperature conditions. New for the G2 is also the ability to use an external switch in case the internal one is hard to reach and in addition to the greatly improved hardware the speedo also received some new software features such as a greater PWM frequency range for throttle and brake, ensuring optimised control when needed. Also new are finer adjustable turbo increase and decrease rates as well as a 101 percent to 150 percent brake range, a feature that comes in handy when running high-turn stock motors with aggressive gear ratios. New for the G2 is also the ability to adjust motor rotation direction and the built-in BEC system offers adjustable 5V to 7.4V and 10A output. Last but not least comes a softening function that will improve vehicle control in high-power modified classes. Like the previous controller the G2 is programmable and upgradable using Hobbywing’s WiFi Express module and an iOS or Android mobile device with a more traditional programming box being also available. The controller is available with black/silver, orange or red case details and it is available now.

Tamiya have announced the soon release of their new TBLM-02S sensored 17.5T and 21.5T brushless motors. Maintenance-free and featuring dual ball races for efficiency the motors are ideal for both on-road and off-road vehicles where drivability and long run times are called for. The 17.5T/2200kV variant is ideal for touring cars, M-Chassis, Formula and Buggy kits while the 21.5T/1800kV variant basically covers the same applications, however its lower speed makes for an easier to drive car. The motors are usable with virtually every 540-class sensored brushless speed controller.

Performa Racing have announced the release of their new waterproof brushless speed controller and motor combo for trail trucks and crawlers. The set includes the new Limited Red Rock Edition Radical Crawler motor and the new Radical Crawler controller. A specialised sensor technology and a crawler special staggered pole rotor deliver a new level of speed accuracy for uphill, downhill, and super slow crawling conditions. The Radical Technology provides ultra-smooth throttle control without cogging and allows precise deceleration when going down steep inclines. Included is a waterproof switch and waterproof sensor harness, making the Radical Crawler Combo water friendly so owners can enjoy the most extreme crawling adventures. The controller is set up so it can be used right out of the box and for owners that like to experiment and fine tune for ultimate control, 14 parameters can be adjusted using the electronic switch or with an optional program box. Muchmore have announced the release of their new Fleta TX V2 ER Spec torque up stock motors. They build on the popular ER Spec motors but come equipped with the MR-FZR21Z 12.5×7.25×24.2mm “Z” rotor for increased torque which comes in handy especially in 1/10th buggy blinky classes. The motor is available in a 13.5T and 17.5T variant for the most popular stock classes.
