Shepherd premium engine oils

A new range of high-quality premium oils for nitro applications is available from Shepherd. First up is an after run oil specially developed for the use with nitro engines. It keeps the internal engine parts lubricated and protected from oxidation and excessive wear when storing the engine or starting it from cold. It is recommended for the use after every racing day and before storage. The second new product is the sticky air filter oil that protects the engine from dust and dirt. It allows enough air to flow through the filter while airborne particles adhere to it ensuring an optimised combination of protection and performance. Both oils come in handy 50ml bottles.

Hobby Pro 32mm flywheel

New from Hobby Pro USA comes this CNC-machined and hard-anodised 32mm flywheel. It features polished steel flywheel pins that are extremely high pressure fitted and provide extremely smooth clutch action. The flywheel’s design and shape provides reduced surface area which prevents the clutch shoes from hanging up making for improved reliability.

RB engine bearing tool set

German RB distributors RMV Deutschland introduce the RB Concept engine bearing tool set. Designed for swift and easy bearing insertion, the set allows to safely mount a variety of main bearing sizes including 11.5, 12, 13, 14, 14.2 and 14.5mm ball races. Also front bearings can be installed with ease and without having to fear any damage to the bearings or crankcase. The tool set comes in a handy storage case including comprehensive manual.

New Novarossi off-road carburettors

After extensive research and development Novarossi announce the launch of two new off-road specific carburettors. The newly designed parts offer easier and more precise tuneability and the engine will produce more torque in the low and mid RPM range. Available are two different variants with the first being a standard 3-needle offering and the second one being of a new design with the main engine needle sitting where normally the mid-range needle is located.

Hudy air filter foams & oil

Hudy introduce four new air filter and oil sets suitable for many of today’s 1/8 nitro off-road buggies. Included in each set are 10 inner and outer foam elements along a 50ml bottle of high-quality Hudy air filter oil. The sets are available for Xray low-profile, Losi 8ight, Mugen MBX and Team Associated RC8 style air filters.

Ultimate Dual Compak clutch system

Modelix Racing introduce the latest version of the Ultimate Racing Compak clutch system called Dual. The system is an evolution of the well known Compak clutch and comes with a 34mm gold-anodised aluminium flywheel with tempered steel pins, one carbon and two aluminium clutch shoes as well as all three springs installed. The clutch is designed to provide a smooth power delivery, it extends the life span of the bearings and it also helps to lower the fuel consumption. The unique construction of the clutch allows to prepare an entire clutch body in advance that can be easily swapped and replaced when needed. The assembly is available with three different spring hardnesses from soft to hard allowing for a fine adjustment of the clutch engagement and using the standard or conical-shaped V2 flywheel.

FVSS Torque screwdriver & black fuel line

F.V.S.S. Torque screwdriver & black fuel line

Italian company FVSS introduce the Torque screwdriver set and black-colour silicone fuel tubing. First up is the screwdriver set that makes use of a carbon fibre handle that features an insert with variable torque settings to avoid over tightening of screw heads. Included with the tool comes an assortment of six hardened tool tips including 1.5mm to 3.0mm hex wrenches as well as a flat and cross screw driver. Next up is the silicone fuel line with increased wall thickness for best possible resistance against cuts and rubbing on moving parts. It measures 6×2.5mm, comes in a shiny black colour and is available as 1.5, 15, 50 and 100 metre rolls.

Xray high-torque clutch medium hardness springs

New from Xray come medium clutch springs for the company’s high-torque 1/8th off-road clutch. The grey colour springs are supplied in a set of three and offer slightly different engagement characteristics compared to the earlier springs for a wider range of fine-tuning possibilities to various track conditions.
