Novarossi 35 Plus 21 LC ‘Cordoba Edition’

Novarossi have announced that they have created, and will begin selling, a limited edition range of motors to celebrate Lamberto Collari’s 8th World title in Cordoba, Argentina. Limited to only 999 pieces, the ‘Cordoba Edition’ is an exact replica of the engine that Collari used to win Novarossi’s 9th World title.

The 35 PLUS 21 LC “Cordoba Edition” has an all-new carburettor. Made from a different kind of alloy and combined with the integrated cooling fins will it keep the temperature of the fuel down before it will enter the engine’s internals. The cooling fins will also reduce the overall mass of the engine; this improves the performance of your 1:8 On-road racing car. Next to the new carburettor we also have made a new look on the cooling head, to remember our victory in Cordoba. The sun we used is very similar to the sun in the flag of Argentina.

Available in December, if you want one you’d better start saving as it isn’t going to be cheap.

UPDATE: We’ve been informed by NR that it is expected to be in the EUR500-600 region, so not as dear as we originally thought.

K-Factory UFO 2 White Clutch Shoe

Taiwanese company K-Factory have released this UFO2 white clutch shoe for use in Centax type clutches. This high grip clutch shoe has a special high friction surface which means the clutch engages the moment it comes in contact with the clutch bell making it very useful on high traction circuits where you may have a very high engagement rpm setting for maximum acceleration. When set up correctly, in high traction, this type of clutch shoe can help the car accelerate very quickly.

Sirio 2056 Exhaust System

Sirio Exhaust System #2056

Sirio have released this rather unusually shaped exhaust system for use with their buggy line of engines. The EFRA approved (#2056) exhaust pipe has been optimised to work with the CL7B and Evo3 motors from the Italian brand and also with the equivilant Sirio made engines from RB and SIIM. Sold in a complete set, it comes with manifold, rubber seals and mounting springs.

DiMonaco DM Bullet Hard pipe

Italian company DiMonaco have released an updated version of their EFRA #2064 3-chamber exhaust pipe, called the DM Bullet Hard. This polished exhaust is designed for use with buggy motors and new revisions including a thicker stinger material, new mounting system, better back pressure nipple placement and the stinger now also sports a reinforcement rib to prevent damage in a collision. DiMonaco also have a number of different manifolds available for this pipe in different lengths and shapes.

O’Donnell Super Sport .21 Engine

Designed in the USA by master engine tuner Steve O’Donnell, the Super Sport .21 is the pinnacle of 1/8 scale nitro racing. It’s a shining example of the “clean sheet” concept – a fresh look at engine construction and components, with nothing borrowed from existing technology. Only state-of-the-art machining and materials have gone into producing this engine with features including the original O’Donnell-designed “big head” machined aluminum heat sink head, dropped down low for a better CG. Available in February.

STS 2008 Engine line-up

Taiwanese engine manufacturer STS have unveiled more additions to their already extensive range of engines. First up is the new S12XS, 2.1 cc touring car motor that has a 12mm crankshaft with turbo scoop, 5 port tear dropped ABC liner and is supplied with a turbo plug. The S12XS is also available as a 3 port IFMAR legal version. Also for on road is the new 3.5cc S21R motor that has a 14mm balanced crankshaft with turbo scoop, 5 port ABC liner, carburettor with interchangeable venturis and is also supplied with a turbo plug. Finally is the S21T buggy engine which is exactly the same as the on road motor but has a larger cooling head as is normal with off road motors.

SIIM PGR S12T engine

The first engine to be released from Spanish company SIIM Racing’s new engine line up, as we announced last week, is the PGR S12T touring car motor. Made for SIIM by Italian company Star Motor Engineering, who make the Sirio motors, this new engine features a 5 port ABC liner and a 12mm crankshaft, with extra work done to the porting to improve fuel flow, while externally it sports a black crankcase and a branded gold cooling head.
