Serpent Centax-2 red clutch shoe

Serpent has released this new red clutch shoe for use in the Centax-2 clutch system. Made using a red material that is softer than the original yellow shoe, this new version provides a wider sweet spot for correct clutch adjustment yet still provides the highest performance expected in the 1/8th scale class.

Ultimate Racing Compak Clutch

Ultimate Racing first introduced its off road clutch system 4 years ago, and it was used by Miguel Matias to win his 1/8 off-road European Championship. Now with the introduction of the Compak, the standard clutch has been improved with a smaller diameter of the flywheel of 34 mm and this allows it to be fitted into nearly all current buggy models, Hong Nor, Mugen, Kyosho, HoBao, Crono and Xray.

Korean manufacturer Much More have released a number of new glow plug connectors for gas racers. First off they have released a version with a 2200mAh cell and it is available in the usual MM colours of purple, blue and black while the 2nd version comes with a 4500mAh cell also in the same colours but gives more usage between charges.

Taiwanese company STS have released information about their new competition level truggy motor. This 4.66cc features a 5 port ABC liner, while the 14mm crankshaft sports a turbo scoop in the bell crank, helping force the fuel into the combustion chamber.

The new U.S. importer for IDM engines and accessories, XS Power, has contacted us with information on the latest line of motors from top Italian Gas on road racer Danielle Ielasi. The engines are manufactured by Picco Micromotori, for whom Ielasi works, and are aimed at competition racers in all the classes that their engines are used in. Available in .12, .21, .26 and .28 sizes, IDM have engines for both on road and off road, with power and great fuel consumption a major feature of these motors.

Ultimate Racing Air filter system

Spanish company Ultimate Racing have been in contact to give us information about their new progressive Air filter system available for a number of air filter mounts. Currently a lot of other manufacturers use hi-density foam to avoid particles getting into the engine, but the problem is that these hi-density foams soaked in filter oils encourage a dust layer to form on the external part of the filter that results in a decrease of airflow to the engine which in turn decreases engine performance and increases fuel consumption. The new system from UR consists of a combination of two different types of foam and two different kinds of oil.
