RB products have released this limited edition 3.5cc buggy engine, called simply ‘The Seven’. Limited to only 300 pieces its based on the S7 and features a turbo glow-plug, limited edition engraved cooling head and comes with a numbered aluminium anniversary plate in an exclusive gold packaging. Created to celebrate 10 years since RB engines won their first major title at the European Championship in 1997, the S7 motor was chosen as it has also been 10 years that this engine has been in the RB Concept engine range. JP Racing have announced the release of their latest competition 2.1cc Novarossi based engine, the FX12 TL-3T Eagle. Based on one of JP Racings most popular motors, the FX12 T03, this modified Eagle version is a 3 port IFMAR and EFRA legal engine which has been hand worked around the liner while the crankshaft has been lightened, optimised and given JP’s hard black coating. Extensive testing by the companys test drivers shows that this engine has a very powerful bottom range while also retaining the marques famously high top speed.

More news from Trinity, this time its the release of their new ‘Phatt’ cooling head that we showed you a ‘spy shot‘ from last week. Machined from billet aluminum, this large cooling head is suitable for the Drake Platinum, Picco and OS .21 racing engines and is used by Adam Drake and the rest of the Trinity Nitro Team. Due to its design and construction, the cooling head works more efficiently at lowering the engine temperature compared to standard heads.

LRP have announced the latest version of their Z.12R engine, the new Team Spec 4 is the company’s newest .12 motor aimed at the competition level 1/10th scale touring car market. This engine provides a maximum power output of 1.65hp and is equipped with CNC machined 3-port sleeve, made from hard chromed brass alloy (true ABC construction), piston and extra reinforced connecting rod. A black anodized metal backplate with special scoops provides improved mixture flow inside the engine to maximize the performance, while to pay attention to the latest car developments LRP have redesigned the cooling head to lower the center of gravity of the engine.

According to the Trinity website this is a spy shot of a new cooling head for the Adam Drake line of Trinity engines. I thought it was nice that the spy gave Trinity the photo and the permission to put it on their website…

Check this “Spy Shot” taken by an unknown source in the building at Trinity. It shows a negative of a new Trinity Product before it even has a part number. Ask your local hobby shop to call and ask about it asap.

GO Tech 21R – GR Racing modified

GO Tech 21R - GR Racing modified

South Korea based GR Racing have produced yet another work of art as far as the workmanship is concerned as seen in photos relased from their latest project. Taking the GO Tech 21R buggy engine, GR Racing have done lots of work to it to get it up to a claimed 2.85hp @ 39.000 rpm. This 5 port engine features tear dropping work on the liner, lightening and optimising of the crankshaft, some internal porting as well as the use of ceramic bearings throughout. No release date has yet been given.
