Orcan fuel and batteries

Not necessarily new products but the Orcan range of products have received a rather nice identity revamp. A while back we featured a rather nice motor cooler from Orcan, a brand belonging to SMI, the importers of Xray, Hudy and Novarossi in Germany. The Orcan fuel uses high quality components and has been developed over 10 years for competition use, winning many National and International championships, whilst the cells are matched 4200mAh suitable for serious racers. Expect to see air filters, glow plugs and oils for off road racing from Orcan in 2007.

RB Products have released this SpeedLine EFRA 2611 tuned pipe set. Designed to increase the middle range power of the RB.12 engines its polished finish improves gas flow whilst the 4 spring mounting system that keep manifold and pipe toegether improves reliabilty in this area.

Outerwears Pre Filter

Outerwears have released this neat pre filter that stops the heavy crap that builds up on your airfilter before getting to the foam underneath, thus allowing the filter to do the job it was intended for. It says its designed to fit the stock air filter that comes on the RTR Losi 8ight but im sure it would work on others too.

Outerwears Pre-filters have been tested and proven to provide maximum performance from your hi-performance air filter longer. Pre-filters deflect dirt away from the air filter instead of packing up and slowing down air flow.

Jammin release new Pro .21 & .28 Engines

Jammin engines

Jammin have announced the release of 2 new pro engines, a .21 and a .28 motor. Both engines have been optimised for off road racing and both feature turbo plugs as well as a number of other performance enhancing improvements.

Tweaks to the materials, crank timing, and tolerances all played a part in getting the engine to the high performance edge that Jammin Jay requires. Both engines deliver excellent bottom end power with great top end run out.

Aigoins engine fetches $800 in auction

Earlier this month we mentioned that website TWF8.ws was to auction the actual RB engine that Yannick Aigoin led and nearly won this years 1/8th buggy World Championship with, well that auction has now ended and the winning bid for this great engine was $800. The engine was kindly donated by Rody Roem of RB products for this sale so all this money will beÂ donated the UNICEF, a great gift in this season of giving.

OPS Super Track 14mm

OPS are back, at least i think they went away, and have now introduced this OPS Super Track 14mm. This motor is a 3.5cc engine for, as the name suggests, circuit racing and the 14mm is seemingly important as it allows an improvement in the flow of the fuel mixture. What is also unique about this motor is that to save weight and in turn aid the acceleration of the crankshaft they have milled many small holes in the outer diameter of the small end side of the crankshaft. Doing this instead of milling the center of the crankshaft and adding silicone as is currently the norm, does a better job at reducing the centerfugal weight and therefore effects the performance more significantly.

GRP release innovative exhaust system

GRP FLS Exhaust Pipe

GRP have announced the release of their new innovative 3 chamber exhaust system for 3.5cc off road engines. The innovation isn’t the new titanium colored finish but instead with the fact that the need for springs in mounting the exhaust to the manifold is eliminated with a new patented locking system called FLS.

The main novelty is the FLS (Fast Link System), studied and patented by GRP worldwide. This new system eliminates the need for springs, gaskets between the manifold and the pipe. You simply insert them and twist and it locks into place. Not only the FLS is new but also the pipe is made from a harder material, titanium finishing and a true 3 chamber model, guranteeing high performance and low noise.

ZAC tuning Novarossi N12LLT3

ZAC tuning Novarossi

ZAC Project, the Japanese RC Manufacturer, has released a very limited edition run of 30 hand tuned motors. Based on the Novarossi N12LL3 high end competition motor, ZAC have added a new taller engine head for better cooling, tear dropped and worked the Liner as well as polished and balanced the crankshaft. This is a pretty serious motor and if you dont live in Japan or havent pre ordered one you probably wont be likely to get one.
