Novarossi Live Range nitro engines

Novarossi first teased us last December and now the Italian engine manufacturer finally released more detailed information on the Live Range engine series. Available soon are several .21 off-road, on-road and rally game engines as well as .12 on-road touring engines. The line will see the Bloody .21 4-port and Loco .21 3-port engine with the latter being available as standard, recoil and rotostart variant making it the ideal replacement engine for RTR buggies and trucks. Also new is the Brave .21 5-port on-road, the Hardito .21 7-port rally came as well as the Sturm .12 touring engine – the latter comes as standard and rotostart variant. All engines feature a newly designed crankshafts with a larger bore intake to increase the mixture flow and all of them should become available very soon.

LRP ZZ.21C Ceramic Spec 2 engine

LRP ZZ.21C Ceramic Spec.2 engine

LRP have released details on their new ZZ.21C Ceramic Spec 2 buggy engine. This new version claims to have more power, a higher top speed, better fuel efficiency and linear power delivery compared to the previous version. To achieve this, changes have been made to the piston and conrod as well as to the liner with the needles in the carburetor also having been revised. Finally the cooling head fins have been inclined upward to create more surface area for better cooling.

Kyosho vented off-road clutchbells

Kyosho soon have new vented 1/8th off-road clutch bells in 13T and 14T specification available. They are of a special design with five milled out sections for added heat dissipation compared to standard “closed bell” clutches. This feature not only reduces the rotation mass but also allows for a longer clutch life with both composite and aluminium shoes.

RB Blast V20 limited edition engine

RB introduce the Blast V20 3.5cc off-road nitro engine. Being of a limited edition the engine features a lightened 14.5mm turbo crankshaft, 7-port liner, the company’s Multi Exhaust System and a lightweight machined piston. All that is housed in a lightweight yet strong crankcase while other features include a turbo combustion camber insert, a composite slide carburettor with 7mm venturi insert and a 60mm orange-anodised lightweight cooling head. The engine is available separately or including a suitable in-line exhaust set.

With the Rally Game class gaining popularity especially during the cold months of the year, RB decided to develop a specific engine for the job. The new Xtrem Rally features the latest technology which provides efficient power at low and high RPM. Inside there is a 7 ports sleeve with MES, a hardened machined lightweight piston and a 14.5 turbo crankshaft, that gives even more power to this engine.

RB Blast V18 limited edition engine

RB introduce the Blast V18 limited edition .21 off-road engine. It features a lightweight yet strong crankcase with high-speed bearing, 14.5mm turbo lightened crankshaft, lightweight machined piston, 5-port liner and turbo combustion chamber insert. The composite slide carburettor is equipped with a 7mm venturi insert and the large cooling head sports engraved logos for that distinctive look.

Extreme Research Development .21 & .12 nitro engines

Extreme Research Development, or XRD in short, is a new Italian nitro engine brand that focusses purely on the competition market. The range will include a .21 “Hard Tuned” 1/8 on-road, two .12 200mm “Tuned” and “Hard Tuned” on-road and two 3-port and 5-port 1/8 buggy engines all of which are hand-tuned to ensure the highest possible performance. All come equipped with ceramic bearings and are build from selected high-quality parts.
