RB Yuichi Kanai Limited Edition engine

After returning to engine supplier RB, Japanese 1/8th buggy ace Yuichi Kanai now receives his own YuuiKanai branded engine. Developed in cooperation with the iconic Japanese driver and made in Europe the signature engine features a long stoke design and comes with a 14.5mm crankshaft, competition conrod, high speed main and front ball bearings, 3-port liner and piston with Multi Exhaust System technology and a turbo combustion camber insert. Build around RB’s crankcase the engine is equipped with a special 9mm buggy carburettor with 6.5mm and 7.5mm venturi inserts and a low centre of gravity cooling head of green colour and with exclusive Kanai engravings. The engine is limited to 300 pieces worldwide and comes including an EFRA2097 exhaust system.

Blacktarmac double reverse 1/10th clutch

Blacktarmac introduce their new double reverse clutch for 1/10th scale vehicles with .12 nitro engines. The special design makes use of dual clutch pads for a more powerful clutch engagement. The flywheel and the inner pressure plate are machined from lightweight 7075-T6 aluminium to reduce the rotation mass and to increase durability. The clutch, that won the EFRA Euro B in the hands of Luca Redaelli, comes with all needed parts except pinions and includes a steel and a 7075-T6 aluminium clutch bell. Available for Xray NT1, Capricorn Lab C-02 and Shepherd Velox V10 cars.

Much More Perfect Glow Plug Stocker

New from Much More comes the Perfect Glow Plug Stocker, a storage container for turbo-type glow plugs. The lower half sports threaded holes to hold the plugs and to protect the delicate glow coils, while the upper half, the lid, is held in place by four magnets for simplicity. The container comes black anodised with white MM logos.

Pirani RC shock & exhaust springs

Pirani RC introduce their new set of shock springs for both 1/10 and 1/8 on-road cars as well as exhaust springs for the manifold and muffler. Starting with the shock springs, these are made from high quality steel, come colour coded and are resistant against fuel and acids. The springs come as pairs in short and long configuration and are selected and matched to ensure equal damping characteristics left to right. Also new are manifold and pipe springs. They are made from a special steel and received a hard coat treatment to ensure a long life. They come in two variants for 1/8th engine and manifold connections and for 1/8th and and 1/10th manifold and pipe couplings.

Beta EFRA 2106 tuned pipe

Nemo Racing introduce the new Beta EFRA 2106 tuned pipe. The exhaust is designed to increase the bottom end punch of the engine for tight and twisty tracks or those with short run ups for the jumps. The pipe comes polished and with a reinforced outlet.

FX Engines inside story

Having recently broke cover, new engine manufacturer FX Engines, which is owned and operated by the Hudy family, have made available a nice insight into the production of their first engine. Unlike some other engines brands, the Slovakian power plants are completely manufactured in-house in Europe in order to have full control over the design and the materials used. Started some six years ago, designer Juray Hudy not only changed every piece of the engine multiple times but also twice re-started from scratch to make sure the engines met the company’s strict demands in terms of quality, performance and reliability. Capricorn LAB21-7RHT .21 engine

Capricorn have released their new .21 engine, the LAB21-7RHT. Made to meet the new EFRA rules that sees qualifying return to 5 minutes, this engine can make the time without the need to a costly fuel stop which can destroy your chances of setting a good time. Made by Novarossi, the engine uses the latest carburetor with the heatsink on the high needle, a new underhead with o-ring with a different combustion chamber drawing, CNC machined convex piston, 14mm balanced treated crankshaft for lower fuel usage and a 7 port ABC liner. Capricorn suggest using the Novarossi 2615 muffler with 6 ring manifold and 8.5mm venturi. The engine also comes with 8mm & 9mm venturi to help you reach 5 minutes on every track.
