Boost RC ‘Hexaflow’ Touring Car Front Bumper

Italian brand Boost RC has introduced a new line of Boost RC has introduced the new line of innovative ‘Hexaflow’ Front Bumpers. Available for leading 1:10 Electric Touring Car models, it combines impact protection with aerodynamic performance, transforming a traditionally passive component into an active tuning element for your car. Unlike conventional bumpers designed solely to absorb impacts, the Hexaflow has been engineered to influence the car’s behaviour at speed. Developed entirely in-house, the project began as a CAD concept before undergoing multiple stages of prototyping and extensive on-track testing to refine both its mechanical properties and aerodynamic efficiency. The bumper features a distinctive angled honeycomb structure with through-flow cells that channel airflow across the front section of the chassis. As vehicle speed increases, the airflow management is designed to generate an aerodynamic effect that complements the car’s mechanical setup, offering additional front-end support in faster corners. This opens up new setup possibilities for racers. For example, drivers can optimise the car for greater mechanical grip in slower sections using reduced camber while benefiting from the additional aerodynamic assistance provided by the Hexaflow in high-speed corners. Rather than replacing traditional setup adjustments, the bumper introduces another tuning parameter that can help maximise overall performance. Manufactured using high-performance engineering polymer through advanced 3D printing technology, the Hexaflow stands out visually with its honeycomb architecture creates a distinctive motorsport-inspired appearance, complemented by a carbon fibre textured finish on the sides and underside.

Hirosaka KSC Classic 24 1:24 Training Car

Following on from the very well received announcement of its electronic collaboration with ORCA, Hirosaka Racing Products has sent us details of the Hirosaka KSC Classic 24 – The Reborn 1:24 Training Car. Over nearly ten months, working closely with Masaaki Hirosaka, they have recreated the 1:24 RC car he originally used to train Masami Hirosaka – the very car that, through countless trials and refinements, set his son on the road to world championship glory. As they mark this milestone 50th anniversary with the recreation of this pioneering spirit, in describing the Hirosaka KSC Classic 24 they state, ‘legends do not always begin on the world’s grandest stages; sometimes, they unfold in a quiet parking lot alongside a single, handmade machine.’ The origins of this machine lie in the very birth of 1:24 RC racing. It was a class pioneered by Masaaki himself, born from the ingenious idea of designing cars by skilfully repurposing bodies from plastic models and slot cars. That small spark eventually gave rise to the legendary ABC Hobby “Royal Chassis” and ignited a nationwide craze. For over two decades, the 1:24 car served as Masami’s most faithful practice vehicle, laying the foundation for the driving prowess that would conquer the world. Limited to 100 kits, this product will be supported on an ongoing basis with spare parts, replacements, and upgrade option parts, so enthusiasts can enjoy it for years to come.

ORCA x Hirosaka 1:28 ESC, Motor & Lipo Battery

Masaaki Hirosaka, father of RC racing legend Masami, has announced a collaboration with Electronics brand ORCA, with the ORCA x Hirosaka ESC, Motors, and Lipo battery range intended for 1:28 use as well as 1:24. Developed through the championship-winning collaboration between ORCA Racing and Hirosaka Racing Products, this complete product line is purpose-built to meet the demands of winning in both onroad and offroad class competition racing. The brushless speedo is rated 30A while the motor range has 2500, 3500, and 4500Kv options. The Lipo pack has a 60C rating and 420mAh capacity.

Nuclear ASM Special Coating EFRA2698 .12 muffler set

Nuclear, the brand of multiple Worlds Finalist Masao Tanaka, has added to its ASM engine line this special coating version of its EFRA2698 .12 muffler set. Designed specifically for 1:10 GP touring car, both the pipe and manifold feature a premium coating applied in Japan. This coating significantly reduces exhaust resistance, resulting in improved throttle response and higher top speeds. The pipe surface is also designed to be easy to clean. The manifolds have also been newly designed: the Manifold 230 focuses on low-to-mid-range performance, while the Manifold 220 focuses on mid-to-high-range performance.

IFMAR issues clarification on ISTC World C/ships Approved Bodies

RC racing’s world governing body IFMAR has issued clarification on body shells for the upcoming 2026 ISTC World Championships which will take place at Huge RC in Bangkok, Thailand. Having last week issued a statement regarding the ineligibility of the Xtreme Aerodynamics CZ1 Nitro Touring Body for the Nitro Touring Car World Championship which take place Italy in September, IFMAR made the clarification on the 190mm Electric bodies after they had ‘received some queries regarding use of recently approved bodies’. Body shells in 1:10 Electric Touring Car has been a huge talking point since the arrival of the Avalon Vortex. For the 13th running of the 1:10 Electric Touring Car World Championships, IFMAR said, ‘We wish to clarify that there are no proposed changes to the rules for bodies for the event. This means that all bodies currently approved by EFRA, ROAR, FAMAR and FEMCA that comply with the GBS rules are allowed to be used.’ They did add that, ‘the wing must be fitted directly to the body without spacers *and* no part of the wing may extend above the roofline of the body.’

Factory Team RC28R Option Parts

Factory Team, the Team Associated option parts & accessories line, has released a range of new option parts for the RC28R 1:28 car. The new releases include a Steel Lower Pod Plate, a Carbon Fibre Upper Arm Brace, Titanium Adjustable Axles,, Front Bulkhead Shims, and a 1:28 specific Ride Height Gauge. The steel lower pod plate adds 3g to the pod assembly to improve rear-end stability. The upper arm brace adds rigidity to the fixed upper arms on the RC28R limiting the amount of flex in cornering, sharpening steering feel. The Titanium Adjustable Front Axles enables track width tuning between 0mm, 0.5mm, and 1mm offsets further dialing in front end feel to the driver’s preference. The Front bulkhead shims add further adjustment to the front end of the RC28R. Adding shims under the front bulkhead adds roll stiffness improving steering feel in most conditions. 0.25mm and 0.5mm shims included. Finally, the Ride Height Gauge is an easy-to-use tool to quickly and clearly check the ride height and droop of your 28th scale car. This gauge has a range of 1.5-2.5mm with 0.25mm increments.
