Xray have released a first teaser image of their soon-to-be-released XB4’16 1/10th 4WD buggy. The year 2016 incarnation of the European Championship winning kit had its debut at the recent EOS race in Germany with a double podium finish in the hands of Martin Wollanka and Bruno Coelho. Following a first preview, AME have announced full details and several renderings of their forthcoming Project IRIS 1/10th scale 4WD touring car kit. This next generation touring car was developed by Andreas Myrberg with the focus being set on an easy to build, easy to tune and easy to maintain platform without sacrificing performance. The car builds on a class-standard double deck chassis and utilises a 2-belt drivetrain but this is where similarities with most other touring cars end as the suspension package features innovative pushrods to actuate the rotation shock absorbers and torsion springs.

With all necessary measurements in one handy gauge there is no reason to fail the next tech inspection. The gauge is made from high-quality polycarbonate and it sports precise and easy to read markings.

Available now from Yokomo is a front swaybar set for the YZ-2 2WD buggy. Included is all needed mounting hardware as well as three different diameter swaybar wires of 1.0mm, 1.1mm and 1.2mm. The anti-roll bar allows to adapt the buggy to a range of surfaces with the set coming in handy especially on high-grip tracks.

German company Absima have introduced their latest high-performance 1/8th scale brushless speed controller, the CTS8 V2. Offering a machined aluminium case and an all-new software for improved performance the sensored controller is rated a t 180A continuous current to handle up to 3000kv motors at 4S input. Usable with 2-pole and 4-pole sensored and sensorless motors in vehicles such as buggies, trucks and on-road cars the ESC sports dimensions of 44.5×42.5x37mm and it weighs in at 146 gram including fan unit.

Speedmaster Japan have introduced their new silver-colour shock springs for 1/10th touring cars. Developed by the people behind the highly popular HPI silver springs the Speedmaster Japan items will offer improved materials, dimensions and surface treatment to allow for highest precision and on-track performance. Coming in standard as well as short 20mm specification the colour coded springs are available as pairs or 3-piece combo sets. The range will include TL2.8/6.75, TL3.0/6.5 and TL3.2/6.25 “long” springs made from 1.5mm wire while the “short” springs are available as TS2.8/5.75, TS3.0/5.5 and TS3.2/5.25 variants made from 1.4mm wire.

Fantom Racing have introduced their all-new FR-1 540-size brushless motors. Developed on the USA, the motors feature purpose-designed stators made from premium Japanese Kawasaki steel to cover different wind motors and their intended uses. Despite just varying stack heights, Fantom uses different designs with the Type T being used in the 10.5T spec motor as well as the 2.5T to 9.5T modified variants while the Type R rotor comes into play for the 21.5T and 25.5T motors. The 13.5T and 17.5T variants are available either with the Type T or Type R configurations. All motors are built using premium grade Neodymium magnets and they come engraved with the Fantom logo and specifications.
Having won last weekend’s opening round of the Euro Offroad Series in Germany in the hands of Lee Martin, Yokomo have released the first information on the new YZ-4 4wd buggy. A big focus has been placed on the transmission of the YZ-4 with a new type of drive-train that offers benefits over the conventional belt and shaft drive configurations. We expect to receive full details on the new buggy in early October, coinciding with the IFMAR Worlds at the Yatabe Arena, while the first shipment is expected to be in early November.
