Muchmore 16AWG super flexible silicone wire

Muchmore 16AWG super flexible silicone wire

New from Muchmore comes super flexible high current 16AWG wire that comes in handy especially for 1/10th and 1/12th scale classes. The thin diameter and highly flexible silicone insulation will greatly reduce the chance of unwanted chassis and power pod tweaking while still allowing high currents as experienced in modified racing. The black colour wire comes in coils of 100cm.

Avid T4’15 aluminium main chassis plate

Avid T4'15 aluminium main chassis plate

Avid introduce their 7075-T6 aluminium chassis for the Xray T4’15 touring car. Designed for the use in medium to high-bite conditions the main chassis, cut from 2mm high-quality aluminium, offers several unique features. Compared to Xray’s own alloy chassis the Avid part has several cutouts added and existing diff cutouts enlarged to reduce weight and increase flex while keeping enough material on the sides for the speedo to hold with servo tape. The battery tape on the bottom of the chassis has a cutout slot so it does not interfere with ride height checks or drag on track. The motor pocket width is decreased and is double pocketed to keep as much strength possible. The motor mount flex control hole as been modified with a large bevel on top of chassis to prevent the screw head from hitting chassis while the pinion adjustment hole moved to better access the set screw. The 2mm thickness material also allows for a lower centre of gravity and offers the ability to lower roll centres more than stock. The chassis shape is smoothed to keep droop screw platforms from digging into the track during hard cornering with the chassis being narrowed to 84mm allowing the chassis to roll deeper through a corner.

Tekno RC XT CNC-machined tools

Tekno RC XT CNC-machined tools

Tekno RC introduce the XT line of CNC-machined tools. The tools offer specially designed handles to make for effortless wrenching and the handles are available in two different sizes. They are gun metal anodised for a sleek appearance and wear resistance while soft knurling on the handle’s grip area produces great leverage without tearing up the hands. A large flat spot on the bottom helps prevent the tools from rolling onto the ground. Each tool is laser etched for easy identification and a large thumb relief in the handle makes for an ergonomic feel. An M5 set screw holds the CNC machined high carbon steel adjustable length 4mm shank tips in place. The tools are available in several sizes including 1.5mm to 2.5mm hex wrenches, 2mm and 2.5mm ball hex wrenches and as 5mm to 8mm nut drivers. The handles and tool tips are also available separately.

X Factory Infinity SRX-2mm battery straps

X Factory Infinity SRX-2mm battery straps

X Factory Infinity announces a new battery strap for the mid-motor Serpent Spyder SRX-2. The two strips of carbon fibre are direct replacements for the big x-shaped standard strap and they solve two problems with the original part. As a tuning aid, the straps allow more chassis flex than the standard part and they also allow most batteries to be removed with just two thumb screws undone instead of four. The parts use the standard thumb screws and include holes for the stand-offs used to hold a shorty pack.
