KO Propo Esprit-IV 2.4GHz radio coming soon

During this week’s Shizuoka Hobby Show in Japan KO Propo introduce the follow-up model of the popular Esprit Universe III stick radio. Purpose designed to use 2.4GHz technology the “IV” is meant to also feature a larger display, a new button and jog dial layout, as well as other refinements to make KO Propo’s top-of-the-foodchain stick radio 2014 ready. We bring you more information on the transmitter as soon as we get them.

Hacker TopFuel 2000mAh LiPo receiver battery

German company Hacker introduce the new straight-type TopFuel 2000 Eco-rX LiPo receiver battery pack for nitro vehicles. Using standard 2/3A straight pack dimensions the battery is build from 2000mAh cells and it comes prewired with red BEC plug and a compact EHR balancer port. The pack is usable for all applications that require a straight-type receiver pack and ideal to power the latest breed of high-voltage compatible servos.

Vaterra Ford Fiesta Rallycross RTR

Vaterra steps into the rallycross game with the recreation of the 1/10th scale Rockstar Ford Fiesta. Based on a 4WD nylon composite tub chassis with metal gear VTV (Viscous Torque Vectoring) differentials the car comes factory assembled with a 4-pole 3300kv Dynamite brushless motor, waterproof 70A 3S-compatible speed controller and a Spektrum SRS4200kv receiver with AVC (Active Vehicle Control) technology for improved driving stability even in rough terrain. Other features include a tough front foam bumper, large volume oil-filled shock absorbers, and rally tread tyres. All that is topped off by a pre-decorated Ford Fiesta bodyshell. Also included in the package is a Spektrum DX2E transmitter with batteries.

Schelle B5 series aluminium shock standoffs

Schelle Racing Innovations introduce a set of aluminium shock standoffs and bushings designed for the use with the Team Associated B5 and B5M buggy. The standoffs replace the stock units and add more stability with a wide base and support for the mounting screw, as well as a tighter shock cap fit which now rides on machined delrin bushings. Although designed for the B5 the parts will also fit the Kyosho RB6 when used with a longer M3x22mm shock mount screw. Each set contains four standoffs and four bushings and they are available now.

The next buggy to receive JConcepts’ Silencer body treatment is Yokomo’s B-Max4 III 4WD buggy. The body features a forward-biased cabin design, a stabilising roof top shark fin, clipped side pods with extended runners and it comes including two 6.5″ Hi-Clearance rear wings. The Silencer is a drop fit on the B-Max4 III and comes including window masks and a decal sheet.

Schumacher introduce new 1 degree rear hubs for the Cat 4WD and Cougar 2WD line of buggies. Made from high quality aluminium, the rear hub carrier is a popular upgrade part with more optional camber link holes and a CNC black alloy look. It has now been further improved with a brass insert for better life and less wearing of the pin and hub interface.

Team Orion Vortex R10.1 brushless speed controller

Seen for the first time at this year’s Nuremberg International Toyfair Team Orion’s latest competition 1/10th scale speed controller is about to hit the market. The Vortext R10.1 is the follow-up model of the successful R10 and features a new case design with a new-shape heatsink, a slightly redesigned black-colour case, a rubber cap to close the empty sensor port when needed and also all-black receiver and switch wires. Inside the 2S-compatible R10.1 sports new hardware for a lower internal resistance and increased current load capacities. The firmware also received an update for added punch in “boosted” stock classes while offering improved overall drivability to make for even smoother throttle response. We understand that the controller becomes available very soon.

Tuning Haus charge accessories & mounting tape

Tuning Haus introduce several new products such as a pre-wired charge lead set, 4/5mm bullet connectors and two mounting tapes. Starting with the charge lead, the harness is designed for the use with the popular iCharger series, as well as many other chargers. The main leads are 460mm long and constructed from 10AWG silicone wire. The convenient double-sided bullet plugs allow convenient charging of packs with either 4mm or 5mm receptacles. The unused plug sides are covered with included rubber caps to safeguard against accidents. Balancing leads are configured for precision balance charging and the harness is finished with a mesh wire wrap to keep pit space work areas organised.
