Schumacher Cougar KF low-grip conversion set

Schumacher Cougar KF low-grip conversion set

Schumacher introduce the low-grip conversion set for the Cougar KF 2WD buggy. The part included move the motor and centre cluster back by 21mm. The more rearward weight distribution gives the KF added rear traction, and is well suited to wet astroturf, or high grip dirt tracks. In the rearward motor position the car must be used with a shorty LiPo battery. The new chassis can accept either motor position so the car can be converted back to the forward motor position for extra steering when the grip comes up. The body requires a small modification to clear the spur gear but a modified body is now also available from Schumacher.

Serpent introduce the Cobra 2.1 1/8th nitro buggy kit. Building on the current 2.0 the 2.1 features a new 4mm longer main chassis that helps with rear end grip on rough tracks with short bumps but that also keeps the rear more planted on smooth and fast tracks. To go with the longer chassis the buggy received an extended rear aluminium chassis brace with the short version also being usable. Also new is a longer rear centre driveshaft, the kit comes with new aluminium shock caps for improved durability and 14 degree caster blocks to smooth out the steering a bit. Avid customisable Triad slipper clutch set

Avid customisable Triad slipper clutch set

Avid now offers a customisable Triad slipper clutch set. Suitable for most of today’s Team Associated vehicles such as the B5 and B4 series as well as the B44, TLR’s 22 2WD series, Kyosho’s RB6 and RB5 as well as Team Durango’s 210 series, the clutch set now offers selectable slipper pad and main gear combinations. Users can choose between 3 white, 3 red or 2 white and 2 red pads as well as 2 main gears of 66T to 87T in size. While the pads have a direct influence on the behaviour of the clutch at different track conditions the main gear size is affected by the class you run as smaller gears are typically used in stock racing while larger gears are needed when running modified motors. Beside the pad and gear selection the Triad clutch set is otherwise unchanged from the standard item.

Protoform anti-tuck body stiffeners

Protoform anti-tuck body stiffeners

Protoform introduce the anti-tuck body stiffener set for 190mm touring car bodyshells. Made from stiff lexan, the one-piece stiffener fastens inside the rear the body with three simple screws and nuts. The pieces are custom formed to fit the curvature of the lower rear fenders for a perfect fit. Not only will this system virtually eliminate body tuck, but the added rigidity will also aid unwanted fluttering or deflection of the rear of the race body at high speeds. Weighing in at only 4.5 grams, changing the weight bias or centre of gravity of the car is minimised. Each set comes with two body stiffeners, mounting hardware and a decal sheet.
