ARC R8.3 1/8th competition on-road nitro chassis kit

Following an extensive design, development and testing program, ARC is proud to bring you the new R8.3 1/8th competition on-road nitro chassis kit. The R8.3 features and all-new internal gear ratio give it a FDR of 2.4, which improves acceleration making it great for small to medium size tracks, with the top speed remaining the same as the R8.2. The front end flex on the all-new chassis is adjustable by chassis cover, when installed the front chassis stiffens, increasing steering response while avoiding over-steering in high traction condition. The new battery plate also come with flex slot to increase chassis flex and stability. New radio tray and front bulkheads, the latter allowing easier maintenance for front one-way axle and belt. New radio tray design connects the front upper arm and creates overall chassis flexibility more evenly, making handling less sensitive with track condition changes.

Nuclear ASM Type6 .21 on-road engine

Japanese brand Nuclear have released the Type6 version of their ASM 3.5cc nitro onroad engine. An evolution of their Type5 motor, all the changes on this new motor are internal, such as the surface treatment of the piston to further reduce friction and improve the durability. The sleeve, conrod, piston connecting pin and backplate have also received this coating, which together with the newly shaped 9mm venturi, also helps to improve throttle response. The engine comes with the C1 combustion camber insert and will be available in a 9 or 7 port version.

Xray 2.5mm carbon main chassis for X12’21

From Xray is this optional 2.5mm carbon main chassis for the X12’21. Machined from 2.5mm hard high-grade graphite material with a specially-designed compound which is a good option for low grip carpet racing, as well as asphalt. The graphite material is softer than aluminium, allowing the chassis to generate more traction. The chassis was redesigned to accommodate the front Tweak-Free Suspension and the rear Tweak-Free POD System, while the side link mounting system was redesigned as well and is mounted directly to the chassis and the chassis features slots for adjustment of the servo mount position.

Serpent SRX4 Gen3 4wd EP buggy

Serpent have introduced their all new SRX4 Gen3 4wd buggy. Developed alongside the company’s SRX2 Gen3, the new car shares over 50% of its parts with its 2wd counterpart meaning less spare parts need be carried by the racer. A belt driven car, it utilises a dual belt system which allows the motor to be mounted along the car’s centre line. The chassis is made from 7075-T6 aluminium, it’s narrower in design for better flex characteristics, while it also incorporates a new packaging concept for the front pivots and diff position, to give greater ground clearance. The steering system has also been updated to reduce maintenance time, increase drivability, reduce any unwanted bump steer, and create a smoother linear Ackerman curve.

Yokomo YD-2 SLF big bore shock tapered piston

For the YD-2 series of cars, Yokomo release these SLF big bore shock tapered piston. Developed by Team Yokomo drift members, one side of the piston surface has a tapered shape meaning the damping feeling differs depending on the mounting direction, softer for the movement of the piston in the direction of the taper. In addition, the piston hole is angled diagonally with respect to the shock operating direction so the damping changes with respect to a sudden shock input due to the action of fluid dynamics. At times it has the effect of absorbing small bumps while maintaining a high damping force. The piston hole setting is ø1.1 mm x 6 holes and each set contains 2 pieces.

Revolution Design titanium front axle & clamping hex

Saving weight, adding durability, and increasing adjustment options is high on the list of every racer. The one-piece aluminium front axles of Team Associated’s B6.2 are very light already, but can be bent by hard impacts and offer no track width adjustment options as seen on the buggies of the competition. Their truck counterparts are made of steel for added durability, but still have a fixed track width and off-set, and increase unsprung weight. RDRP’s titanium wheel axles come with 5mm aluminium clamping hexes for the B6 series and 8.5mm versions for their stadium and short course truck brothers. Both axle types accept the readily available Associated 1/10th scale wheel hexes for even more variety.
