Hobbywing XR8 Pro G2 ESC

Introducing the new XR8 Pro G2 ESC from Hobbywing, designed to work in full sensored mode at all times when it is paired with a compatible Hobbywing motor. This also allows it to utilise the Turbo Timing technology which was designed for the successful XR10 Pro series ESC used in 1/10th On-Road and Off-Road competition. This ESC can support up to 48 degrees of Boost and Turbo Timing when paired with the new G3 motors with an increase of 50% more performance over the previous G2 series motor, keeping you way ahead of the competition. Other features include built-in reverse voltage protection and real-time data logging function, to check the throttle, voltage, current, temperature, RPM and other data in real-time operational status of the ESC and motor. The ESC can be set with wirelessly with the OTA programmer and a smartphone and contains nearly 30 commonly used adjustable parameters. The Capacitor thermal protection is designed and implemented into the ESC effectively preventing capacitors from exploding and causing irreversible damage to the ESC due to overload. The built-in switch mode BEC with a maximum output of 15A and voltage adjustable from 6V to 8.4V (step: 0.1V) allows the use of various standard servos and high voltage servos.

Xray XB2 ultra-lightweight Gamma 2D body

Xray have introduced an ultra-lightweight version of the XB2 Gamma 2D body designed especially for low traction conditions. Lower weight reduces the roll of the car and improves corner speed. The profile of the body improves the stability and increases downforce towards the rear of the car to help generate more traction for the car. The high-performance, low-profile aerodynamic body for XB2D is designed to perfectly fit the car and work especially in low traction conditions. Specially designed to maximise rear down force to increase traction the front was designed to give optimal steering. The sides of the body and cockpit are as flat as possible to allow air to flow around the body for improved side stability. On the top of roof are two integrated flow channels for proper airflow. Made from high-quality premium Lexan material.

JConcepts A2R 190mm TC body

The JConcepts team is back with a follow-up to their A1R touring car body, with the release of the new A2R. The new drivers body has fundamental differences necessary for performance starting straight-away in the front-end area. The shrunken front-end is considerably laid-back, shortening the nose allowing the force to be placed over the front tires. A-pillar rails extend over the hood for some air deflection straight over the nose and strengthens the front wheel well area. The front windshield is tucked back inside the rails sunk and connected to the aggressive roofline giving the A2R its distinctive shape. Behind the front wheel well and in front of the rear wheel well is a definitive edge that strengthens the openings and also provides better race posture. A hard edge runs the bottom of the rocker-panel providing more grit to the design while also providing extra front to rear rigidity.

AKA 1:10 Slicks 2.2 tires

AKA have announced the release of their new 1:10 Slicks 2.2 which utilise the popular 2.2 mounting bead for increased performance and consistency. The Slicks 2.2 expand on what was learned with the popular Scribble 2.2 to create a consistent, long lasting, slick tire with minimal ‘break-in’ necessary. An improved carcass design creates the proper amount of elasticity to get the power effectively to the ground, without ’snap’, from the first battery pack to the 20th. The 2wd and 4wd fronts make use of the new and popular V2 front foams which allow for a wider footprint and a smoother less twitchy steering feel.
