Losi have released their new 8ight Championship t-shirt, which promotes the 3-time ROAR National Champion 8ight Race Roller, which won the title in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Made from a heavy-weight cotton/poly blend, it features red, black and white screen-printed designs printed on the front and rear, while the left sleeve promotes the 8ight’s title as Top Qualifier in 2006 and 2009. Last week we saw the new Blitz ESE from HPI Racing for the first time and today they have release full information on this no compromise short course truck. Outfitted with a ton of premium upgrades, high grade materials and tuned performance parts, it comes as a kit allowing you to customize your truck and top it off with your choice of electronics, high performance wheels, tires and batteries. The high performance parts are color coded white, cool gray, and warm grey. Not only does this enhance the style of the truck, it lets you know at a glance which part is the high response performance part. Featuring a stiffer composite main chassis that quickens the overall response of the truck as well as firm front arms for a more precise steering feel, while the rear arms help free up the truck in corners. Other new parts include firm shock towers, firmer skid plates and firmer bumpers.

Seen at the toy fair last week, Xceed’s new 1/10 scale Chevy Cruser body is a high performance 1/10 scale 200mm body. Made from high quality lexan and supplied with a special shaped rear wing it is very stable, also under braking, and provides lots of steering and excellent top-speed handling. Designed in Italy for Xceed in co-operation with top level drivers, it includes grill, lights and masking decals. Expect it to hit the market in March.

Core RC have introduced the Code 2.4GHz Digital Proportional R/C System, which has been designed for UK racers brought up on a long tradition of twin stick radio configuration. It offers a whole host of features designed for maximum functionality and ease of use and there is now no need to worry about the frequencies of your buddies, the 2.4GHz takes car of that. With its list of high end features, it may look like they come from a £300+ radio but the Core RC Code costs just a fraction of that, retailing at £90 and coming supplied with a small 3 channel receiver that is small enough to be used in almost any application.

CSO continue to increase their range of option parts with the release of these new lower rear suspension brackets for the Serpent 966 1/8th scale chassis. Made from 7075 T6 aluminium, they are hard coated for extra durability and are a direct replacement for the standard kit parts.

Seen in our Toy Fair coverage, RB have now released their new front bearing protector, the Engine Protect. Front bearings are not 100% sealed and let dust get inside the engine, causing both the bearing and engine to suffer and wear out prematurely thus creating many problems as compression loss, flaming out and expensive repair costs. RB studied this problem and developed the engine protect, a machined and treated steel disc that only weights 2.4 grams and fits most .21 and .28 engines. Recommended for buggy, truggy and 1/8 On-Road on a soaking wet track, it protects the bearing by preventing dust from getting in, thus increasing engine life and performance.

F.V.S.S. have released their new range tire additives, called Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. The first type, Dr. Jekyll, is made especially for use with foam tires on a carpet track, while the 2nd type, Mr. Hyde is made for foam tires on asphalt tracks. Using a special racing formula the latter is long lasting and gives extreme traction in all conditions.
