VRC Pro – More than just a game

VRC Pro is four in one: it is a Professional RC racing simulator, Racing game, a Sports game and Massive Multiplayer Online Game (MMO) in one. As a Professional RC racing simulator, VRC Pro simulates the RC racing experience as accurately and realistically as practically possible, taking into account vehicle dynamics, graphics, control, real-world replication, while overcoming real-world limitations like geographic boundaries and substantial costs. As a racing game, VRC places the player on the rostrum, controlling a high-performance vehicle and allowing the player to race against other drivers or just time. As a sports game VRC Pro emulates the playing of the traditional physical RC sport: it emphasizes both performing the sport and the strategy behind it. VRC Pro features two main sub-genres within racing games: arcade racing and professional simulation racing.

X-Factory X-60 new body complete

Last week we brought you the first X-60 body shell photo and today we have received more new photos of the X-60 conversion kit from X Factory. These photos show the new body in its entirety mounted on Paul’s truck. The X-60, expected to be on the market in about three weeks, converts the AE T4 into a mid-motor truck for improved handling in corners, over bumps, and in the air. Team driver Brian Kinwald said:

This thing is awesome. No other word needed. Awesome. It looks super-cool and is faster than any truck I’ve ever driven. All four of the Team trucks were dialed at the Reedy Race. Jeremy Felles put his in the Show with two great qualifying runs. Alex Krieg’s truck was just stuck to the track. My X-60 was super-dialed. In qualifier 3, a back-marker took me out while I was on a TQ run. We worked very hard on this truck, changing everything several times as we went along to make it perfect. Like, we tried five different chassis lengths until we got the one that works best at most tracks. The whole thing has taken lots longer than we thought, but, trust me, it is worth the wait. And now we’ve got this incredible body! Totally dialed!

Xray Column – The Busiest Season Ever

The 23rd installment in the Xray column from Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column, Juraj recaps on their season, one of busiest for the Xray team so far.

For an RC car designer it is of course his task to be at the tracks, analyzing everything and taking care of his product, team and every other related thing. This summer I really put in a huge amount of my time and energy to make Xray cars and the team as successful as possible. Now I will have to switch a little bit to the other side – focusing more on taking care of the company, new projects, and new developments… and leading the R&D, production and managements teams – to keep a good balance.

VRC Pro – Asso GT2 & Upgrade policy

VRC graphics artist Tony West has delivered yet another chassis for VRC Pro: the Associated GT2 Factory Team gas truck. This chassis will fit the 1:10 nitro off-road class that will be featured in VRC Pro. Off-road will have to wait until on-road is launched, the reason for this is the extra development work that has to go in to creating the off-road tracks and various chassis.
