Our friends at Fun & Drive in Germany have been in touch to tell us that they have been appointed the German distributor for the Picco based range of IDM engines. Run by the Lechner family, this long established RC firm will carry the full range of IDM products and as part of the deal, super quick lady racer Sabrina Lechner will also now run the IDM power plants.

Much More have released a few new products today including traction additive, new cells and a new cell box. First up is the addition of the red version of the previously released range of acute carpet tire additive, that provides high traction for rubber tires on carpet surface with the red specifically for use on high traction surfaces. Next up is a new line of 3800mAh Zap cells that come sold in a pack of 6, while the company’s new battery boxes have been designed for 5 cells, useful for European, and now Japanese, racers.

LRP has announced the release of their own 1/8th scale buggy called the S8 BX. Similar to the Z-car from SH Engines, it features an angled engine mount, that combined with centrally mounted radio components guarantees optimum weight distribution. Due to this centred chassis layout the S8 BX is easy to handle and the cornering ability is outstanding, especially through chicanes it will amaze you! The revolutionary rear suspension design with active caster gives the car an improved shock absorbing characteristic and makes stability and agility a standard feature. The new system results in smoother and better handling even under roughest track conditions. The S8 BX is completely realised in no e-clip design.

MaxAmps have released the ultimate upgrade for any vehicle that takes a 6 cell saddle pack of Sub C NiMH cells, with the release of a range of LiPo saddle packs. Sold in 6000mAh and 4000mAh, these 7.4V packs are hard cased and simply drop into your car with no modification necessary. Super lightweight, they offer twice the capacity as normal NiMH for the same weight and can maintain a maximum discharge of 90Amps.

Jimmy over at oOple managed to get some first pictures of the new Atomic Carbon S2, a car that has been around all year in various guises, gradually evolving until a layout that worked was arrived at. This, the pre-production car, is a work of art – losing any rough edges the prototypes might have had and with a swish new carbon laminate tub chassis specially made for this car. A new 4-gear gearbox and cell layout distinguish this car from the prototypes and the car should be available as a conversion for the popular RC10B4 from Associated. Also spotted was the new 4wd chassis from Atomic Carbon, that sports donor parts from the Associated B44 and a newly designed front end, but he unfortunately wasnt allowed to take any pictures of it.

Dace Manufacturing have released this set of 4 pillow balls for use with Mugen buggies and truggies. They are 2.5mm longer than stock allowing more threads to bite in the a-arm, those that run wider set-ups will really benefit from the longer threads.
