LRP have announced the release of their all new Speed Master 2 tires, created to help make the company’s Shark-18 perform on tarmac and other road surfaces. This tire is suitable for the Shark-18 Race Monster Truck, Nitro Monster or ATV and has been developed to meet the needs of on road enthusiasts by providing high-levels of grip, easy handling and high traction in both wet and dry conditions. The Xray NT1 seems to be the ‘After market parts’ manufacturer’s car of choice at the moment with almost all parts of the 200mm available in different variations of aluminium and carbon. Japanese company Rony, who have released a number of NT1 parts previously, have now released even more new additions to their range starting off with this aluminium front anti-roll bar lever set. Also new is a lightweight titanium middle shaft, a machined 18T aluminium pulley, aluminium servo saver set with adjustble ackermann, lightweight upper engine mounts and finally an aluminium chassis stiffener.

Following on from his success at the recent Japanese Nationals, Team Checkpoint racer Marc Rheinard along with Steve O’Donnell have announced the upcoming release of his new Special Edition motor. Besides all the standard Checkpoint features, this special edition motor features a 1.4mm thick can with eight vent slots and a grey oxide finish. The motor will be available for the next out-door season.

Sirio have released this rather unusually shaped exhaust system for use with their buggy line of engines. The EFRA approved (#2056) exhaust pipe has been optimised to work with the CL7B and Evo3 motors from the Italian brand and also with the equivilant Sirio made engines from RB and SIIM. Sold in a complete set, it comes with manifold, rubber seals and mounting springs.

RC50.com are in Cleveland at the moment for the US Indoor Champs and have managed to bag themselves the exclusive first photos of the prototype RC12L5 from Team Associated. Featuring lots of one off parts, including a completely new front end, central shock absorber as well as new carbon and aluminium parts, it seems that this car is completely new. The rear end is now very different looking much stiffer than the RC12L4 and with space for a BL motor, while the T-bar configured chassis sports a single laterally mounted centre damper, in addition to the conventional inline shock absorber. The cells also now sit in line with the direction of the car, while there is so much new on the front end it is hard to pinpoint exactly what is different.

As seen on the Mugen MRX-4X of Rick V. at the 1/8th scale World Championships in Argentina, Mugen have now released this aluminium servo horn. Much stronger than the original plastic version, the new servo horn is suitable for all the cars in the Mugen range as well as on other manufacturers cars, and comes supplied with multiple composite inserts to make it suitable for all makes of servos.

Schumacher have released a new range of 1/8th scale buggy tires following many months of testing by their team drivers along with their in house R&D team. Based on their extensive competition racing knowledge, they have designed 2 new tires, the Spiral and the more traditional Mini Pin, both available in yellow and silver compounds. The Mini Pin is suitable for degraded surfaces such as grass/soil mix, dirt and astro turf, while the Spiral is designed for surfaces that need more penetration of the ground to gain grip, making it perfect for grass surfaces. All tires are available separately and also pre glued on the company’s new white rally dish wheel. The new wheels are also available separately in white, yellow and black.

More new releases from KM Racing, and yet more parts for the Xray NT1, with the release of more aluminium options for the Slovakian company’s 200mm chassis. First up is this aluminium rear back plate that replaces the original plastic part and helps increase strength to the structure of this area in the event of a rear impact. Also new from KM is a set of 4 spring cap bottoms that have been made from gun metal anodised aluminium and further lightened through holes and extra machining. Finally, for the clutch of the NT1, is a new aluminium spring cup and aluminium clutch shoe plate that are very light and as such provide a performance advantage over the original parts.
