BMI Racing Prototype rear end

BMI Racing Prototype rear end

Back in February, we showed you pictures of the then soon to be released DB12R 1/12th scale chassis from BMI Racing. Well yesterday the guys from BMI showed of some pictures of the all new prototype rear end for their car, that they are currently testing.

It is designed around the brushless motors. We are using our standard lower plate on this prototype for testing but we will be spreading the pod plates 2mm for more clearance for production without a sacrifice in rear track width adjustment.

UPDATE: Added pictures showing mounted BL motor.

Kyosho X312T released mid July

Kyosho X312T released mid July

The first fruits of the Team Orion and Kyosho tie-up are soon to be made available when the Kyosho X312T .12 motor goes on sale in Europe on the 10th of July. This engine isn’t simply a rebadged version of the Team Orion CRF Wasp but instead features a revised piston which has been coated with Nikasil, a nickel silicon carbide coating used to reduce friction in moving aluminum alloys, while the carburettor features a different barrel and modified main needle which all adds up to an engine that is easy to tune, very stable and has lots of torque. Also released at the same time is the Kyosho V-One RRR Evo and X312T combo pack which will make a great package for those racers considering racing in the Kyosho World Cup, as we have heard a rumour that the use of the X312T is to be made mandatory for this event.
