Alex Racing Design CER touring car

Alex Racing Design CER

Japanese manufacturer, Alex Racing Design, has announced details of their latest 190mm electric touring car, the CER. Featuring a very unconventional layout, the car sports a front centrally mounted motor, similar to the Losi JRXS-R but then on the front of the car, rear mounted cells and centrally mounted steering servo. The car is fully tricked out in red anodised metals (also available in 4 other colours), C-hubs on the front, CVDs all around and comes with rear ball diff and front solid axle as standard. The car looks good, however the height of the spur gear and associated drive parts is worrying for center of gravity reasons, but we will have to wait on some results to prove if this front mounted motor configuration is the way to go.

ZAP H-Energy 4300 and 4500 cells

These Zap H-Energy cells have been mentioned on the internet for a while now and will finally be shipping on the 19th of March. Matched by master mechanic Masaaki Hirosaka, father of multiple World Champion Masami, these Ni-MH cells have been in testing for some time now by utilizing all his experience, Masaaki has been able to produce a cell that lasts longer than similar types and gives instantaneous power and will be made available in 4300 and 4500 mAh versions.

Yokomo MR4-BX Factory Kit

Yokomo have announced the release of a Factory version of their higly successful MR4-BX that comes pack with loads of nice new optional parts. Whats different between the Factory version and normal, previously available, version is that this comes with a new slick looking bodyshell for better overall stability, improvements to the drivetrain (my Japanese isnt good so hard to be specific), new harder material drive shafts, new drive belts, a new rear upper deck, coated shock absorber pistons and more. As far as i understand its available now.

Team Losi Mini LST-2 Monster Truck

Team Losi have just announced the release of their new Mini LST-2 Monster Truck RTR, which is a 1/18th scale version of the companies larger LST monster truck. Featuring a dual-deck aluminum chassis, oversize adjustable aluminum-body shocks, a 4-wheel drive system with 3 differentials, dual high-torque Frenzy-370 motors, complete ball bearings and the Losi radio system with 2.4 Ghz DSM technology, this is one slick RTR.

Upgrade RC Sports mat

The good people at Upgrade RC must be downing caffeine in huge quantities considering the amount of products they are pumping out recently. The latest is a scaled down version of their popular Pit Mat, called the Sports Mat and it measures in at 13.75″ x 17.25″ and so is perfect to space restricted pit areas or smaller cars too. It is made from durable and cleanable rubber and features cavities around the perimeter to stop all your screws and other small parts rolling off onto the ground.

Pro Line add M3 tires to pre mounts range

Pro Line M3 pre glued

Further extending their range of pre glued tires for off road racing, Pro-Line have added both the M3 Bow Ties and M3 Crime Fighter tires to their already large range of pre mounts. Both tire types come on either white or yellow Pro-Line Velocity dish wheels, use firm inserts and are a great time saving product, plus lets face it no one likes gluing tires so that alone is worth the investment.

Pro-Line Quik Lidz

Back at the start of February we reported on these new pre painted bodyshells from Pro-Line when they were briefly shown in Germany, at the NÃ¼rnberg Toy fair, well now these bodies have been released along with the full information about them. Suitable for a number of cars including the Kyosho Inferno, Xray XB8 / Mugen MBX5 as well as a number of Monster trucks, they come pre screened (not pre cut) with a tribal design leaving you to just back the body with your favourite colour and its ready to race – no masking, no mess and no rubbish one colour paint jobs.

Pro-Line Cavalieri Edition body shells

Pro Line have released these 2 new Cavalieri Edition Crowd Pleazer body shells for the Team Associated GT2 (above) and T4 cars. While the specifics of what is so good about these new bodies over previous versions isn’t clear, we think it may be just some small cosmetic changes, although i find it difficult to see much difference between this version and the non Cavalieri version.

Ryan Cavalieri combines his years of gas off-road experience with the finesse of Pro-Lineâ€™s product development team to produce a body that goes beyond the traditional Crowd Pleazer design. â€œDesign makes a huge difference in the handling of the 1:10 off-road truck believe it or not. The design was developed to enhance the handling characteristics of the GT2,â€ says Ryan.
