Xray XT4’23 1/10th 4wd Electric Truggy

Xray have released full information on their new for 2023 XT4 4wd Electric Truggy. The truck sports a new chassis layout with diff, motor and battery moved forward that makes the XT4 faster and easier to drive. The front & rear bulkheads feature a horizontal split design (HS) to retain easy diff access while adding the valuable new diff height adjustment. The front & rear HS bulkheads incorporate a diff height adjustment using eccentric bushings. The design of the HS bulkhead’s inline bushing for the bevel drive gear keeps the gear properly matched to the diff height position. It also creates a more linear orientation for the front center drive shaft, reducing the CV joint angle for increased efficiency and decreased friction and wear.  The height of the rear center drive gear is also adjustable to match the height adjustment of the differential. The new pinion gear is shorter to move CV joint closer to the differential, reducing the driveshaft angle and improving drive train efficiency. The new chassis layout moves the center diff, motor and battery significantly forwards and increases stability, allowing for more aggressive landings and making the truck more forgiving. The central drivetrain features new outdrives and dogbone driveshafts that offer reduced maintenance compared to previous CVD drive shafts. The servo mount was redesigned to fit the new frontward chassis layout and features two aluminum stands with graphite stiffener from top. Other new updates include to side guards, electronics plate, shock towers, suspension holders, battery posts, body posts and steering system.

MiBorg X4 RCV driveshafts

MiBorg presents its innovative RCV driveshaft designed to Xray X4. A steel-to-steel interface between wheel axle and bearing hopes to provide less play and less bearing wear compared to the original assembly. It’s combined with the MiBorg original pin less wheel axle adapters for a better wheel concentricity. The driveshaft centre of rotation is aligned with the steering axis to ensure an easy handling of the car. The RCV concept is still utilizing the design of full-scale cars, and is an advantageous alternative to ‘double joint’ shafts. The very high level of accuracy and durability offers no play and no wear run after run. The driveshaft use balls instead of cross pins to drive the wheel axle, which results in less vibration even with high steering angles.

Avid Titanium M3X8 clutch screw

Avid’s new clutch screw is made from the highest quality 6AL-4V Titanium and is packed with a ton of cool features. The most obvious is the large flange to help keep out any fuel or debris from entering your clutch bearing. The second most obvious feature is that you can use a 5.5mm nut wrench or a 2.5mm Allen wrench to install and remove. Lastly, on the backside, they have added a small recess so the screw will never drag on your bearing seal/shield.

Arrowmax 4D setup system for 1/8 on-road

Arrowmax’s all-new 4D setup system will be available for the 8th scale on-road classes. The Set-Up System allows you to measure and adjust camber, caster, toe-in/out, track width and steering angle symmetry with high precision. It is a hassle when racers have to remove the rear end of their body post in order to check the toe-in of their 8th scale on-road cars. With that in mind, we have decided to innovate a completely new system and design to allow users to enjoy a smoother operation throughout their setup process. Another key element they have added is for users to measure the track width using the 4D setup system. The built-in ruler allows user to check the distance between the hexes, resulting in a much better understanding of their car setup. The reading of toe-in/out are now measured on the laser-engraved 7075 CNC body without the long and bulky acrylic plate. Giving a much precise measurement. The whole system is very small, light, and are designed with a purpose to improve the quality of life. Storage and transportation becomes less of a hassle.

Avid titanium lower shock mounts

Avid’s titanium lower shock mounts for 10th scale vehicles make it easy for getting your shocks off and on while not wearing out the plastic from repeated uses. The one design feature we added to this common product is the 6 small holes in each mount. They are not there to lose weight but rather to help keep the mount from backing out as easily when taking the nut off the end, acting as a bit of a serration. Machined from billet 6Al-4V Titanium, they have a 1.5mm Allen head for installation. Each package includes (2) lower shock mount screws and (2) aluminium M3 flanged locknuts.
