Pro-Line Interco Super Swamper Crawler tires

Under official license from Interco Tire Corporation, Pro-Line is proud to announce the gnarliest tire yet for the 1/6 SCX6 rock crawler, the legendary Super Swamper TSL SX. With ‘almost scale’ not being acceptable and access to Interco’s design data, Pro-Line’s engineering staff has reproduced the original Super Swamper in a scale configuration matched by none. At a massive 7.15″ tall by 3″ wide, the Swamper adds a whole new style to your rig, perfectly combining scale looks with the legendary G8 compound for unmatched rock crawling performance. The full-size Super Swamper TSL SX features the ultimate tire tread design by pairing the distinctive chevron tread pattern with the famous, trademarked, and patented Interco TSL (three-stage lug) tread design. TSL is a lug pattern with short, intermediate, and long lugs that are each uniquely arranged, proportioned, and spaced which allows them to bite quickly and self-clean rapidly. Each of these details has been faithfully recreated in 1/6 scale to fit the 2.9″ SCX6 wheel.

Avid Ringer M4 wheel nuts & wing buttons

Avid have announced the release of their new Ringer product line with several more designs in the works to keep with our new theme. If you’re a fan of the silver highlight chamfer on your products then the Avid Ringer design approach is for you. The Avid M4 Ringer wheel nuts are designed to be the strongest all-around wheel nut for offroad and onroad racing. The 11mm flange provides the needed support from potential wheel flex on high bite tracks, while a thin 3.5mm thickness keeps weight down but also allows the nut to be used on 4wd fronts and if you cut your axles to length you will grab fewer pipes with them too. Then they added their aggressive serrations so you don’t have to tighten the wheel nut as much which helps in not deforming the wheel and ensures you will never pull the 7075-T6 threads out. The Avid Ringer wing buttons are designed to have that extra pop of two silver highlights without sacrificing durability. Both items are available in black, blue, red, pink, orange and silver.

JConcepts 1/24th Landmines & Tusk tires & premounts

Continuing their 1/24 releases, JConcepts have also release new tires for the category, the Landmines and the Tusk. The Landmines design, developed for 1/24th scale trucks starts with a robust carcass carefully shaped and sized for a multitude of conditions and capable of completing those difficult courses while being down-to-earth enough to carry a scale appearance. The team spent considerable time with the split-block centre design which has been sliced, stepped, and recessed for flexibility and contortion over sharp, loose, and polished surfaces. The Landmines have alternating solid and cavity pads which is ideal for transitioning from smooth dirt or pavement into dirt, mud, and rocky terrain. Moving toward the edges of the carcass, the scaling tire has horizontal grippy pads with edges and channels to provide additional forward climbing bite. Down within the tread, a lightning pattern, knob plots and connector bars pull the design together to work together at shallow and deep sinking positions. Once power is applied to the vehicle, the tread spacing opens which allows for deep digging, making it a great working tire in dirt and muddy conditions. As the tread rolls down the sidewall, a whole new course of tread and side-lugging is applied. A grippy radial ring provides a consistent rubber contact patch in pinched conditions while in the vertical plane, new traction bars alternate between angular and island mapping for squeeze grip.

Exotek B6.3 heavy duty 7075 alloy diff case

From Exotek comes this heavy duty machined 7075 alloy differential case for the B6.3 & B6.2. Perfect machined roundness makes for a free spinning transmission and a must have for high powered drag racing applications and extra internal machining allows for extra fluid to be added for increased fluid capacity and life. This is much stronger than the stock plastic diff gear but not indestructible so it is important to use black or white grease on the gears and reapply frequently to prolong its life.

JConcepts Hazard & Glide 5 SCX24 1” wheels

As the popularity of 1/24th vehicles rise, JConcepts’ Hazard seemed to be a popular choice to join the 1.0” wheel diameter world. No detail has been untouched, the new wheel includes the 10-spoke Hazard pattern, outer ribbed pattern, mock lug-nut treatment near the centre of the wheel finished off with matte finish. The beads of the wheel have also been textured for better adhesion for the gluing process noticeable in completed pre-mount and user generated tire mounting. Also new, the Glide 5 wheel is simple but has a retro vibe that makes it a popular match for many different body shapes and styles regardless of age. The 5’s incorporate a heavy 3D 5-spoke design which carries a pocketed look into and through the wheel. A multitude of angle changes on the face of the wheel gives it rigidity and a scale appearance. The matte face of the wheel looks brilliant and the stealth black colour matches to just about any paint imaginable. The inside of both wheels has beefy inner ribbing to support the outer hoop of the wheel right to the wheel hex area. The hex area is a direct bolt-on to the Axial SCX24 vehicle with a strong connection for crawling fun. Each package contains 4 wheels for an easy to change-over to new wheels.

JConcepts Fuzz Bite LP 4wd front pre-mounted

JConcepts now offer their Fuzz Bite LP 4wd front tires pre mounted in pink compound on either white or yellow Mono wheels. The Fuzz Bite lands on a low-profile carcass carried over from tires such as the Twin Pin. The low stance provides quick transition at high-speed and minimises side-wall deflection and roll. The pin is specially built in a reverse “water tower” shape planting the larger base at the bottom and narrowing at the top for precision. The pins are placed in a radius and repeated about for a healthy nest of pins to dig deep into matting in office carpet or tight knit CRC carpeting.
