Contact Tyres MTC pre-mounted foam tires

Contact Tyres have announced the launch of their first foam MTC pre-mounts to the market. The MTC (Mini Touring Car) class has seen an explosion of interest in the last few years and so following a large amount of testing by some of the best MTC drivers in the UK Contact are happy to offer these tires for the class. Available in 4 shore ratings, 35, 37, 40 and 45 they are pre-glued on a very nice and durable 5 spoke wheel with 12mm hex fitting. Trued to 52.5mm diameter, with a width of 25.5mm, they are supplied in pairs.

AKA V2 1:10 scale front foams

AKA have announced their new V2 1:10 scale front foams for both 2wd and 4wd applications. With new tires like the Scribble with a different carcass design, a new more robust front foam was required to further enhance the tire’s performance. The V2 foam was designed to fit AKA’s latest carcass design first used in their Scribble line of tires. It fills out the carcass evenly to support the sidewall and centre of the tire for even wear across the tread pattern. The new V2 foams will fit in most, if not all, standard 2.2 2wd and 4wd front tires regardless of brand.

AKA Products Scribble truggy tire

AKA Products have announced the 1:8 truggy version of their bestselling Scribble tire. Based on the tread design of the 1:10 Scribble, the weave pattern lends support to the tread and allows for even tire wear across the surface of the tire. The voids in the Scribble pattern allow it to grip through light dust that accumulates during a race. This weave pattern also features enough rubber in the design to make sure the tire will have the wear resistance to hold up run after run. The tread and carcass has been optimised for truggy racing with a slightly taller and thinner tread to meet the desired grip and drivability needed to compete at the highest level.

JConcepts Animal & Hawk SCT tires

One of the best ways to sling the dirt and sand is with the new Animal and Hawk tires by JConcepts. The Animal is a large height, paddle rear tire, cutting through the dust, sand and dirt while spraying rooster-tails against the competition. The 3.0” x 2.2” carcass has strategically placed upper paddles with a scoop shape to thrust into any patch of terrain and blow right through it. One of the details is the smooth carcass with mock cut-off paddle sections which is a common sight in 1:1 tires. The Hawk multi-rib front tires are directional and meant to cut-through the loam and silt dirt. The 3.0” x 2.2” narrowed carcass has strategically placed radius ribs in a step-up fashion to give turning traction during different depths of surface conditions. Pro-Line 1.9″ Trencher & 1.55″ Super Swamper tires

Two new additions from Pro-Line to their crawler range with the release of the 1.9″ Trencher crawler tire and Super Swamper tires for 1.55″ crawler wheels. The Trencher crawler tires are inspired by their very popular all-terrain Trencher tread, featuring an extremely aggressive tread pattern with each tread block containing multiple sipes and multiple levels for incredible tread flex while still looking great on a Scale Rig. The new Super Swamper tire is a first ever tire for 1.55″ size wheels from Pro-Line. Capricorn EP Touring tires

Coming from Capricorn RC is their new line of tires for electric touring cars. They will be available in a 32 and 35 compound and in testing the tires have proved to have great traction and longevity before lap times start to drop off. The rims will be a light grey colour to easily distinguishable them from other brands.

JConcepts 2.2″ Fling Kings & Renegades Jr tires

JConcepts have introduced two new 2.2″ versions of their well known Monster truck tires, the Fling Kings and the Renegades Jr. Starting with the Fling Kings, they are the first RC Mega Truck tire, specifically designed to throw mud, dirt, gravel and grass just like the real thing. The giant-sized tires are tall enough to dance through the deepest RC loam, however, it is the tall lugs that separate them from the rest. The 1:1 tires were hand-cut to produce the most wicked looking tires on the block ad the JConcepts tires are uniquely built to replicate a hand-cut set, however, deep tread remains to do the “mega” land damage the drivers and enthusiasts crave. One of the most impressive details about the Fling Kings, they are designed for a JConcepts 2.2” wheel, making them aggressive in appearance while the bead of the tire features the traditional 2 step surface which provides a massive amount of area for glue to rest giving the utmost security for full-throttle mud runs. The Fling Kings measure in at 5.50 x 2.5 x 2.2” and are available in both blue and gold compounds and fit directly to JConcepts wheels.

VP-Pro Gripz Evo 1/10th SC tire

Having recently released the Gripz Evo tire for 1/8th buggy, VP-Pro have now brought this thread pattern to Short Course. The mini square pin tyre works on nearly every track surface, from damp or muddy loam to dry and dusty hard-packed blue groove. The light weight tyre excels especially in qualifying when speed and agility is the main target with the small and evenly spaced lugs allowing to cut through dust, clean out in wet conditions, and skim over bumps and ruts without causing traction rolling like larger pin tyres. The tyre is available in M2, M3 & M4 rubber compounds and come pre mounted on black, white or yellow rims.
