SRC 1/10th scale tires

Italian brand SRC have released a range of touring car tires with new 8 spoke rims that have 1.6mm rear offset and 0mm front offset. According to the 2010 EFRA rules the SRC rear wheel is 30.8mm wide giving more than 1.5mm of extra rear foam surface, which ensures perfect traction and side grip. With more foam in the rear, the tire wear also becomes less of a problem. The diameter for the rear tires is 65.5mm, perfect for long final, while the wheels come in 3 versions. The nylon is available in medium hardness for low traction and temperatures, hard for high temperature and grip condition, while the light version is made from a super hard and lightweight material. Also available for electric 190mm touring cars in 50mm diameter nylon wheels and 54mm diameter nylon disc wheels.

Pro-Line M4 Compounds & SC Additions

Pro-Line have announced that their Short Course Caliber and Bow Ties are now available in the super soft M4 compound. Also new for Short Course is are Pro-Line’s new Trencher SC tires. Designed to give your short course truck optimal traction on just about any surface, their realistic shaped treads give your short course truck a scale look while offering ridiculous amounts of forward bite. The tall tread will also offer traction in many different terrains and deliver durability, second to none. Finally, and also for Short Course, Pro-Line now offers a dedicated Closed Cell insert.

Also new for Short Course is are Pro-Line’s new Trencher SC tires. Designed to give your short course truck optimal traction on just about any surface, their realistic shaped treads give your short course truck a scale look while offering ridiculous amounts of forward bite. The tall tread will also offer traction in many different terrains and deliver durability, second to none. Finally, and also for Short Course, Pro-Line now offers a dedicated Closed Cell insert.

New Orcan 1/10th scale tires

SMI Motorsport will offer its Orcan tires for the 1/10 scale nitro on road class with a new rim. In comparison to the old wheel the new rim differs not only visually by a so-called Dish design but more than that with an optimised performance. The closed Dish design offers better aerodynamics and together with the lightweight version, a noticeably better turn-in, apart from the weight advantage. The new rims have been tested by the experienced SMI/Orcan team led by European Champion Dirk Wischnewski. “The driveability at the same shore level has raised generally and specially in fast corners”, says Xray factory driver Wischnewski. SMI offers the new Orcan tyres which come in handy and waste reducing, re sealable bags, in ‘super soft’ and ‘soft’ for front wheels and ‘soft’ and ‘medium’ for rear wheels.

Schumacher range of 1/8th buggy tires

Further to the announcement that Graham Alsop was joining Schumacher on a 1/8th tire deal the British company can now announce as promised full details of the range of 1/8th tires. Working very hard over the winter months and early spring time and using the knowledge gained by hours of testing provided by high level drivers and Schumacher engineers, they have introduced their comprehensive 1/8th buggy tire range including the (L-R) Mini Pin, Mini Spike and Spiral. All tires are available in pairs with green medium inserts or pre glued on the updated Schumacher Revlite wheel.

Pro-Line Trencher SC & close cell SC inserts

Pro-Line have shown off their new Trencher SC and close cell SC inserts. This tire will be molded in M2 and is intended to be an awesome All-Terrain option for SC trucks. The aggressive tread will exhibit long life in both on and off-road conditions. Also shown are Pro-Line’s SC dedicated Closed Cell inserts. These inserts are no longer a multi purpose 1:8th insert but are a dedicated asymmetrical design that is engineered for ideal sidewall support in Pro-Line SC tires. The upgraded inserts are being included in all SC tires at this time.

JConcepts debut new SC items at Cactus Classic

JConcepts send us a quick mail to say that they are debuting three new products for Short Course trucks at this weekends Cactus Classic. The new items are Double Dees and Subcultures SC tires along with Tense wheels for the Slash 4×4. We expect to see the official release very soon along with detailed descriptions and details.
