AKA Viper 1/10 buggy tires

AKA’s all new Viper 1/10 tires feature a ‘bar-type’ tread pattern designed to break in quickly and provide unparalleled traction on hard-packed or blue groove, indoor and outdoor tracks. Designed in conjunction with RC legend, Gil Losi Jr., the Viper tires boast an updated carcass and optimised tread height and thickness for maximum performance. The Viper rear tires have been designed with a directional tread pattern which provides another tuning option to help racers fine-tune their vehicle to their liking. The viper front tires are a non-directional tread pattern allowing racers to swap tires from side-to-side which helps maintain even tire wear between the left and right tires. Available for 1/10 Rear, 2WD front and 4WD front in championship-winning Clay, SuperSoft and SuperSoft Long wear compounds.

Associated belted drag slick tires

Team Associated have introduced new belted drag slick tires. Featuring a soft rubber compound for No-Prep RC drag racing, they have overmoulded polyester belting for better dimensional stability meaning the tires will not balloon during your runs. They have a lightweight carcass design and use a standard 2.2″/3.0″ bead.

JConcepts The Hold 1.9″ tires

JConcepts jumped out with a new aggressive tread pattern for the 1.9” crawling enthusiast. The Hold was designed from the ground-up as a carved and chiseled design to handle a variety of scale off-road terrain. The large horizontal traction bars put a “Hold” on ranging features from dirt, asphalt, grass, mud, rock and clay. At the tip of the tread, the downward progression starts and reveals another flat bar of gripping pattern to provide offset traction controlling attributes. During the bar transitions, an angular segment stabilises and gives edginess to terrain at another direction to help the lift and cut through even more environments. The 4.75” size remains a standard size in the successful fleet of tires which have size, detail, and still look girth appropriate for 1/10th scale off-road crawling machines. The sidewall lugging on The Hold is a thing of beauty starting with peaks set at the outer most constraints of the design. An alternating pattern of finely detailed tread steps in and out allowing a multitude of edging to stand out from the design.

JConcepts Smoothie 2 1/10th buggy tire

In some conditions in off-road racing, there is no denying that a slick tire is the fastest way around the track. Throughout the racing calendar year, there are several tracks where slicks in silver compound are the go-to tire. Indoor and occasionally outdoor clay surfaces become so tacky or free of dust and debris that a total slick tire is an advantage. For years drivers have sanded, ground and hand sculpted tires in search of that elusive slick carcass for racing, now, JConcepts has the Smoothie 2. Released as a 2.2” bead mounting diameter, the JConcepts Smoothie 2 mount straight to the latest generation wheels for that all important reactive feel. While saving time and headache, truing 2 tires at a time also ensures perfect balance between left and right side tires. Also by doing this the 2 tires are being trued at the exact same temperature so the tire surface are perfectly matching and symmetrical. Designed to work with mini-z RWD AWD wheels and there is an optional slot car wheel adapters available.
