Yeah Racing have introduced their new aluminium wheel set for 1.9” crawlers and trail trucks. Utilising CNC-machined 5-spoke aluminium beadlock rims and performance crawler tyres, the wheel set is usable with a wide range of trucks as it uses standard 12mm wheel hex adapters. Also included in the 4-wheel set are suitable inserts.

Smart-Workshop have introduced their new next generation Smart Tire Truer. The device allows to store up to six customisable profiles for different diameters, camber angles and carcass radius values with programming being carried out using a colour touch screen display. Cutting is performed using a heavy-duty cutting bit for high accuracy and a short processing time while an emergency stop button located on the side of the truer adds a handy safety feature. The truing motor and electronic board are protected by two separated fuses to make sure all the parts work in a safe environment. The Smart Tire Truer will come in an exclusive box that ensures the device is protected in the best possible way during storage and carrying.

Coming from JConcepts is their new Sprinter SCT tyre for 1/10th scale short course trucks. The Sprinter tyre is designed to bridge a gap between the popular Double Dees and other pin tyre options from JConcepts. The Sprinter has square, angled pins that are stacked vertically to flex and fold evenly across the tyre. Typically, a stacked tread will wear less and provide more forward bite while the aligned space helps rotation in the turns and gives a snappy release to square up quickly. Starting with the new tread, the team focused on durability and performance to bring a tyre option to market that competes on loose surfaces which are wet or dusty. With the popularity of dirt-oval racing, vehicles being designed with either mid-motor or laydown transmission options, a new generation pin style, carcass and outer tread design was needed. The outer sidewall of the tyre has angled pins incorporated into the design to help release the turn and provide the rotation not only needed in dirt off-road but specifically in dirt-oval racing. The blended tread to tyre body is supported with a generous radius which promotes “pin snap” and resists tearing or separation. Horizontal traction bars connect several pins near the centre of the tyre which bonds a critical area for increased push at high-speed. The sidewall area blends nicely into a step-spike feature which helps smooth the transition in bumpy sections and create side-bite. The Sprinters are built on the conventional and popular 3.0” x 2.2” bead and carcass design making them interchangeable. Since the Sprinter tyre is directional, there is a left and right marked and included in each package. The interior ribbing features the double-hatch pattern that helps maintain a comfy ride while each set of tyres includes the Dirt-Tech closed cell inserts.

Tamiya have introduced their new 24mm C2 compound touring car tyre for 1/10th scale cars. The tyre was developed for carpet surfaces where it will provide good grip while the inner fibre belt ensures reliable performance for both stock and modified class racing. The tyre comes in pairs and it fits most 24mm wide 1/10th touring car rims.

Pro-Line have introduced their new Interco TrXus M/T 1.9” G8 Rock Terrain truck tyre. Made under official license from Interco Tire Corporation, the 1.9” trail truck tyre comes in the G8 compound and it features the iconic knife edge dagger style sidewall of the full-scale TrXus tyre that has been faithfully scaled down and reproduced down to the tiny Interco logos in the side tread. The multi-stepped tyre tread provides incredible grip for the tire size with the new 4.5” tall by 1.65”” wide tyre being perfect for scale rigs begging for matching scale tyres combined with unmatched rock crawling performance. The tyre is available now and includes foam inserts.
Pro-Line have introduced their new Prism 2.0 2.2” 1/10th scale 4WD carpet front tyre. The Prism 2.0 features a new carcass shape that provides more steering in low speed corners and more forgiveness and stability at high speeds. The second-generation Prism features the same iconic hook shaped pins that racers have come to know, and love combined with Prism shaped pins for incredible forward grip. Pro-Line engineers have perfected the carpet compound options of Z3 Medium and Z4 Soft, which have been developed specifically for the needs of indoor carpet racing. Japanese brand Rush have released first images of their forthcoming new rubber tyres for 1/12th scale pan cars. No additional information was provide two images, however using rubber tyres with usually foam tyre equipped 1/12th scale pan cars could lead to a more easy to handle class as the sheer amount of foam compounds available and regular tyre truing scares many people away from this otherwise very fun category. Coming from PHUB is their new Power Grip tyre additive for 1/10th and 1/12th on-road tyres. An all-new universal formula ensures maximised traction on basically every carpet surface while providing an easy to control handling. The tyre sauce must soak in for ten to 20 minutes depending on the amount of traction required and PHUB recommend to keep the tyres wet all of the time. The product comes in 60ml bottles and it will become available very soon.
