MCD Racing 160mm Rally-Xross tyres

Turkish company MCD have introduced new 160mm Rally-Xross wheels and tyres for their line of rally cars and buggies. The tyres make for a lower centre of gravity thanks to their reduced 160mm diameter while the higher sidewalls help to get the power to the ground better especially on rough and rutted surfaces. They also increase cornering traction on gravel and dusty tarmac tracks. The tyre are available separately or on rally-style wheels in blue soft or medium compound.

Pro-Line Wide Wedge & Wedge T front tyres

Pro-Line have introduced the Wide Wedge 2WD buggy and Wedge T truck front tyres to complement the already existing range of Wedge carpet and astro turf tyres. Starting with the 2WD buggy tyre, the Wide Wedge brings the popular Wedge tread pattern to a tyre carcass that fits on standard 2WD front wheels, doing away with cutting wheels or needing special narrow 2WD front wheels. The extra tyre width allows for an additional row of tread which Pro-Line used to make the tyre directional, meaning the tyre can be mounted for either more aggressive steering or less. The Wide Wedge has a true drop-in bead that does not require cutting or hand fitting and it is of a super low-profile. The tyre is available in Z3 medium and Z4 soft compound.

Raceform Lazer Jig 1/8th truggy tyre gluing jig

Raceform have introduced their latest Lazer Jig, a dedicated tyre glueing station, this time for 1/8th truggy tyres. Compact and lightweight the jig features a clincher roller that peels off the tyre bead while automatically aligning the bead after applying the glue and further rotating the tyre. When turned anticlockwise, the roller also presses the tyre towards the rim. The overall design makes for extremely convenient operation while an anti-slip under site allows for a secure stand on the pit table or workbench. The tool is machined from high-quality plexiglas, it takes all standard 1/8th truly rims and tyres and comes with a 3-piece needle applicator and decal sheet.

Pro-Line Positron 2.2″/3.0″ short course tyres

Coming soon from Pro-Line is the Positron 2.2″/3.0″ short course tyre. Designed from the ground up with a futuristic directional tread design, the Positron delivers true next generation performance with improved grip and corner speed on indoor clay tracks. The tread design pays homage to the Electron and ION tyre before it with the two centre pins boxed in by connected bars for a familiar Pro-Line signature look. From there the connected bars shoot off at angles that have been specifically designed to provide maximum forward bite combined with exceptional corner speed and high durability. The Positron is directional, which adds another tuning option for the racers always looking for that extra edge since it will perform differently depending on which direction it is run. The tyre is available in super soft M4 and clay-specific MC compound and including blue closed cell inserts.
