JConcepts Reflex 1/10th buggy tyre

JConcepts’ Reflex tyre is designed to bridge a gap between the popular Double Dees and other options such as 3Ds and Hybrids. The Reflex has square, angled pins that are stacked vertically to flex and fold evenly across the tyre for less wear and more forward bite while the aligned space helps rotation in the turns and gives a snappy release to square up quickly. Ideal on loose surfaces which are wet or dusty the tyre releases and bites hard during corner exit for straight line acceleration which makes them perfect for mid motor buggies.. The blended tread to tyre body is supported with a generous radius which promotes “pin snap” and also resists tearing or separation. Horizontal traction bars connect several pins near the centre of the tyre which bonds a critical area for increased push at high-speed. The Reflex’, available as 2WD front, 4WD front and general rear variant, are built on the 60mm bead and carcass design making them interchangeable with all 60mm/2.4″ wheel combinations. The interior ribbing features the double-hatch pattern that helps maintain a comfy ride while each set of tyres includes the Dirt-Tech closed cell inserts.

Muchmore CA rubber & foam tyre glues

Muchmore have three dedicated cyanoacrylate glues for rubber and foam tyres available. First up is the V-Made glue that is the strongest in the line and therefore it is ideal for 1/8th and 1/10th buggy tyres and generally all applications that require a very strong bond. Also new are specially formulated rubber and foam tyre glues for general applications. All three come in 20g bottles with a needle cap and applicator being included in the package.

Sweep Racing SRC Revo-series pre-mounted tyres

Sweep Racing have introduced their new SRC brand which sets a focus on bashers and fun racers. Developed with Sweep Racing’s R&D facility in California the tyres combine racing technology with go everywhere ability and thus both the Road Crusher on-road and Terrain Crusher off-road tyre feature a reinforcing inner belt that prevents the tyres from ballooning under aggressive acceleration and under high speeds. Both tyres come in a unique rubber compound for high grip and exceptional durability and they are pre-glued to newly developed spoke rims that are a direct fit on the Traxxas Revo series trucks. The tyres offer a diameter of 147mm and a width of 80mm and they come on black, silver, bronze or black chrome rims.

JConcepts 1/8th off-road tyre sticks

Following yesterday’s announcement of the 1/10th tyre sticks JConcepts today introduce the respective 1/8th variant. The accessory helps to easily and conveniently group tyres together, reducing the chance to mix up different compounds or inserts. To use, simply slide the mounted tyres down the stick portion and position them so the last tyre has the hex facing outward. Slide the clinching retainer down the stick and align the into place in the wheel and pull snuggly together. The tyre sticks are available in black and blue colour.

JConcepts 1/10th off-road tyre sticks

JConcepts introduces the new 1/10th tyre sticks which allow a driver to neatly group sets of front and rear tyres together. With availability in blue or black colours, the tyre sticks can make an eye popping appearance in the pits or tucked away nicely in storage or racing bags. The sticks operate with two separate pieces that are designed to interlock and work together to snap and clinch into place. To use, simply slide the mounted tyres down the stick portion and position them so the last tyre has the hex facing outward. Slide the clinching retainer down the stick and align the hex into place in the wheel and pull snuggly together. As a bonus, extra stick length can be manually trimmed off for a more compact fit or finish to any clinched set of tyres.

AKA 1/8th long wear compounds

AKA have announced the release of two new long wear compounds, especially designed for today’s demanding high-grip, high-speed, and abrasive tracks. The new compounds are available in a familiar “Soft” and “Medium” hardness and yield up to 50 percent longer tread life than standard compounds. They are available in most 1/8th buggy tread patterns.

UFRA larger diameter 1/8th on-road pre-glued wheels

New from UFRA are larger diameter pre-glued wheels for 1/8th on-road cars. Offering more rubber compared to standard pre-mounts the front 34 shore wheels sport a 72mm diameter while the rear 36 shore tyres are 80mm in diameter. Both come on lightweight white-colour rims.
