The 2014 Euro Contest will take place on the weekend of the 29th of June at the Barco-Off track in Barco, Italy. The race sees an 1/8th Buggy Pro F1, Open F2 and 1/8th E-Buggy class with the 3-day event starting on Friday the 27th with free practice. This past weekend was the second round of the 2014 JBRL Nitro Series at Palm Desert Raceway. The event had 180 entries including Adam Drake, Cody King, Drew Moller, Cody Smith and Jeremy Kortz. At the start of the Buggy final Drake, Moller, and King pulled away from the rest of the field. Moller then ran out of fuel trying to do minute pit stops which gave Drake a comfortable 7-8 second lead over Cody King. In the closing laps of the race King ran out of fuel giving Drake almost a full lap lead over Cody Smith. Drake went on to take the victory followed by Cody Smith in second and Cody King in third.

The Post Derby Classic took place at the Adventure RC Raceway in Louisville, KY this past weekend. It was the first ever trophy race held at this indoor facility and the event had 104 entries and drew some of the fastest racers in the Midwest. Tyler Jones would lead the entire 1/8th E-Buggy A main wire to wire. He would be challenged a few times by fellow TLR teammates Dylan Gerard and Jimmy Vanderhaar but would fight off the challenges for the win.

Last weekend the AG Metal track in Limassol, Cyprus hosted an 1/8th off-road race. Simos Tikkis came out successful while Sotiris Taifas finished the race in 2nd place. Stelios Thrasyvoulou completed the podium in 3rd. position.

The 3rd round of the Malaysian 1/8th off-road nationals was held at the 3stonepark track, host of the upcoming FEMCA championships. The Pro class final saw Didier Perrin taking the win after Boy Chan, who lead the race, made a mistake in the closing minutes of the final, allowing Didier to overtake him. Boy tried everything he could to catch up again but the time ran out and he finished only 2 seconds down on Didier. Ben Panic came in 3rd to complete the podium.

The Swan Radio Control Club in Sibu City, Malaysia recently hold an electric touring car race with around 40 drivers in attendance. The win went to Chin Wee Yuan after a long and hard battle against veteran driver Ong Chee Yong. Andrew Ting completed the podium in 3rd position.

The RcWorld Cup 2014 was run at the Almussafes track attracting some of the best Spanish drivers. The TQ went to Fabio Barbosa who secured the position only 0.2 seconds in front of the second placed Nacho Lopez. In the final, Fabio took off with no problem and never looked back taking an undefeated win. Behind him, Victor Pelaez, Inaki Pahissa, Nacho Lopez, Juan Hidalgo and Joaquin Signes battled for the remaining podium spots with the better end for Juan Hidalgo and Joaquin Signes who came in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Jorge Revert and Oscar Romero completed the top 5.

At the final round of the non-profit Western Canadian Indoor Championship Series (WCICS), which hosted over 1500 registrations across 8 events in its 24th season, Ken Miller took the The UPS Store (Country Hills) sponsored 1/12th Scale Stock season Championship, the largest foam tire class in the series. Second in the championship was British Columbia’s Colin Roussel, followed by fellow B.C. racer Luke Pittman in his first full year of racing.
