Pedro Rombouts wins Dutch nitro on-road nats Rd5

For the 5th round of the Dutch 1/10th nitro on-road nationals the whole entourage moved to the MRG Genk track in Belgium. It was the first time the Dutch nationals raced on this track and most drivers soon found a good rhythm. In qualification Ricardo Hofmeijer clocked the fastest time with 51.6 seconds for three consecutive laps, handing him the TQ spot for the main final. Behind him both Pedro Rombouts and Daan Stuiver managed to get 51.7 seconds, placing them 2nd and 3rd on the grid respectively. In 4th Roy Bakker took the last direct spot to the main final by achieving a time of 51.8 seconds.

Cristian Villar wins at Spanish regionals Rd4  

This past weekend was the 4th round of the Galician regional championship at the new track of Carballo. Cristian Villar was able to win two qualifying rounds on a rain affected Sunday and he looked like he would control the A-main but a mistake cost him about 15 seconds and put him dead last in the final. Thanks to a good pace and swift pitstops Cristian though was able to regain the lead and to end the race on a controlled pace. Behind him Alberto Neira and Javier Fernández finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Neves wins as Simoes takes 2nd at Portuguese regional

Round number 4 of the Central division Portuguese 1/8th off-road regionals was held at the Ortigosa track in very hot weather conditions. The A-main final saw Marco Neves walking away with the win from Luis Simoes and Nuno Almeida. Rolando Caseiro and Abell Carrolo completed the top 5 result.

Nick Buechler takes NCT Series Rd4

This past weekend round 4 of the NCT series in Burlington, WA was held with just over 200 entries and awesome weather, it was a great weekend for racing. Tekin factory driver Nick Buechler managed to take the overall TQ and a few hard fought A-main wins to secure the number 1 position in the 1/8 E-buggy class. Nick, who is leading the series going into Rd5, was joined on the podium by Tekin teammates Jesse Munn and Anthony Honstain. In the 4WD Mod Buggy class the win went to Jesse Munn with Mike Hudson and Nick Buechler completing the top 3 result.

MIP drivers sweep Canadian Offroad Championships

MIP sponsored drivers have swept the recent Canadian Offroad Championships. In 2WD Modified Buggy Damian Lamy took the TQ and win as he did in the 4WD Modified Buggy. In 4WD SC Matt Olsen first grabbed the TQ and he then also went on to take the win the class as did TQ John Walentia in 2WD SC.

Ramon Sigrist wins at Mexican off-road nationals Rd3

The 3rd round of the Mexican off-road nationals was held in Pachuca Hidalgo, near Mexico City. A total of 89 drivers attended with Ramon Sigrist taking the win in the nitro truggy class while his Novarossi teammate Arturo Navarro came in 3rd.

Jeff Hamon wins at 2014 Queensland State Titles

The 2014 Queensland State Titles were held last weekend at the QRCCRA club located in Brendale, about 15 minutes from Brisbane. In the 1/10th 200mm Nitro Sedan class Jeff Hamon came out successful with his Novarossi-powered Mugen to take this year’s title.

Martin Wollanka wins Austria Cup

The recent Austria Cup was held on the small and technical track of Jaidhof in the three 1/8th off-road classes of nitro buggy, nitro truggy and E-buggy. After qualifying Rene Kargl secured the TQ in the nitro buggy class with Thomas Dieselbacher and Martin Wollanka in tow. After the semi-finals Kargl was still on the top spot while Dieselbacher and Wollanka swapped positions, handing Wollanka the 2nd spot on the grid.
