Myron Kinnard wins at 2014 Carpet Showdown

One Lug RC Raceway hosted The 2014 Carpet Showdown in Albertville, Alabama. The Carpet Showdown brought racers from most of the Southeast including Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi and Alabama. The short track layout generated intense racing and made no room for errors. Close spec racing and the fun factor of the muscle-car bodies added realism to the track, with some back-to-back racing. Tight 180-degree turns and fast, short straights required serious setup and driving control. Team Associated’s Myron Kinnard took his Reedy-powered TC6.2 to the TQ spot in qualifying. In the Main he took full advantage of that TQ position and from the tone took off and left the rest in his wake. Will Sheffield in his Team Associated debut also made the A Main and finished a respectable fifth place.
