Thilo Alexander Toedtmann claims Euro-B title

The 1/10 200mm EFRA European B Championship was held in the last week at the ARCA RC Track in Alcobendas near Madrid. The race showed some strong competition with practice started on Monday running on controlled tires and the race officially kicked off on Thursday with controlled practice rounds. Right from the start Xray’s Thilo Alexander Toedtmann showed a strong pace that he was able to conserve for the timed practice and also the qualifying rounds handing him the provisional TQ on Friday with two rounds to go on Saturday. Cooler temperatures on the weekend meant Thilo’s TQ would be in danger and a mistake in the final lap of the final qualifying round let the German drop to 3rd place overall.

Pedro Rombouts wins at Dutch nitro on-road nats Rd2

The 2nd round of the Dutch nitro on-road nationals was run at the track of the MAC de Baanbrekers track in Rucphen. The weather was nice all weekend making for good racing conditions. During the 200mm class qualifying Daan Stuiver set a strong pace followed by Pedro Rombouts. Ricardo Hofmeijer and Milan Holthuis completed the top 4. In the main final Dann was able to open a gap on Pedro and he pulled away from the field. While an intense battle for the 3rd place arose, Pedro was able to start closing the gap on Daan after the first fuel stop. Just before the second round of pit stops Pedro was hot on the tail of Daan and with 12 minutes into the race Pedro ultimately found a way past. Rombouts then was able to pull away from the field allowing him to cruise to the victory in the 30 minute final. Volker celebrates 10th ETS win with Mattsee victory

sun_ronaldwinner

He said after A1 he expected a stronger challenge from his team-mate and that is exactly what he got in A2, but in the end Ronald Volker was able to hold off intense pressure from Yannic Prumper to claim the overall win at the Yokomo Euro Touring Series fourth round in Mattsee, Austria. The win marks the defending champion’s 10th ETS race leaving him just 1 off the championship’s most winning driver Marc Rheinard who completed the Top 3 for second of the day’s A-Mains. In terms of the championship today’s victory together with bonus point for TQ means now only Team Xray’s Alexander Hagberg, who is having a tough event at fahr(T)raum, can deny the Yokomo driver & his team their fourth consecutive Ride Modified title.

Volker heads Yokomo 1-2 in A1 at ETS Austria

sun_volkerbody1

Ronald Volker took an easy win in the opening A-Main at the fourth round of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series in Austria this morning. The Top Qualifier headed home a Yokomo 1-2 as team-mate Yannic Prumper also finished in the same position he qualified. The race was made all the easier for the Yokomo pairing as a first corner coming together between the No. 3 and 4 starting Tamiya’s of Viktor Wilck and Marc Rheinard gave them an early break. Benefiting from the first corner chaos, Marc Fischer would finish third, the Serpent driver coming on very strong at the end of the encounter to mount a challenge on Prumper only to run out of time.
