Tobias Weist wins RC LeMans Series Rd7

The 7th and final round of the RC LeMans Series took place at the Model Race Genk track in Belgium. Dry weather on Saturday meant top conditions for the practice runs in which the top drivers scrapped on the old track record. After Sunday’s qualifiers Tobias Weist took TQ with a 20 laps run in front of Tim Altmann and Sven Stoffels. Come the finals Tobias and Tim battled for the top spot with both deciding one of the three A mains. The decisive race ultimately went to Tobias as Tim made a rare mistake denying him the win. Frank Büsener came in second, Tim finished third. Sven Stoffels, third after the qualifiers but not on the podium, had a bit of a relief by setting a new track record in A main number three with a 15.093.
