Ilias Reise wins at Electric Nord Cup

The Electric Nord Cup was held at the Bad Oeynhausen outdoor dirt track in northern Germany this past weekend. Hot weather conditions and a technically demanding track made for a challenging race for man and machine and in the end it was young Ilias Reise with the win in the E-Buggy class from Janik Reddehase in 2nd place. Frank Grieger rounded out the top 3 result.

Max Götzl doubles at Czech Open Series Rd3

Round 3 of the Czech Open Series was held at the new Horni Jeleni track in nitro and electric off-road classes. Rain before the event meant the track crew had to work hard to ensure proper track conditions but in the end everything worked out and a good preparation made for a level playing field. In the Nitro Buggy class Xray’s Max Götzl would win his semifinal A with about a 3-lap margin over the 2nd place driver so he took the pole for the main in front of Tomas Kapicka and Radim Kolek. The main final, that was held in mixed weather conditions, then saw Max again out in front and he took the win with a huge gap over 2nd placed Tomas Kapicka (Kyosho) and 3rd placed Jan Hujer (Kyosho).

Burak Kilic wins at Polish Off-road Nats Rd2

The second round of the Polish Off-road Nationals was held in the city of Wolsztyn this past weekend in 1/8th and 1/10th scale classes. In the Nitro Buggy class it was Michal Orlowski with the overall TQ after winning three of the four qualifying rounds, leaving behind Burak Kilic in 2nd, who took a single qualifier. In the 45-minute A-main event it was Burak who would take profit of a couple of issues Michal suffered from. Ultimately Michal was able to hold onto 2nd place a lap behind Burak and some eleven seconds in front of Berkan Kilic as Bartosz Zalewski and Bartek Zambrzycki rounded out the top 5 results.

Ethan Lefebvre doubles at Thornhill Championship

Round 4 of the Thornhill Championship Series was held at the Thornhill Racing Circuit in Hutto, Texas this past weekend, attracting nearly 100 entries. In the Expert Nitro Buggy class Xray driver, Ethan Lefebvre would take the overall TQ and also the win in the single 20-minute A-main event, leaving behind Spencer Harrison (Xray) in 2nd. Another 18 seconds back it was Aiden Ferrell (Team Associated) with the 3rd place from Hagen Gray (Team Associated) in 4th and Kurt Wenger (Team Associated) in 5th.

Liam Brocklehurst wins at NDOR warm-up event

The Notts and Derby Off Road Road club near Nottingham, UK held their pre-season warm-up race this past weekend. In the mixed 1/8th nitro and electric buggy class it was Liam Brocklehurst (Tekno RC) with the win some 13 seconds in front of electric-powered Hot Bodies driver, David Corden in 2nd. Lee Maggs (Tekno RC) came in 3rd overall while Adam Marshall (Tekno RC), also running electric, and Andrew Pritchard (Xray) rounded out the top 5.

Billy Fletcher wins at King Of Clubs opener

Round 1 of the Kings Of Clubs series was held at the West London Racing Centre in the UK this past weekend. In the Touring 17.5T Blinky class it was Billy Fletcher with the win and a new track record, leaving behind Ben Cane in 2nd, a lap down. Mark Trinder would come in 3rd, just 0.05 seconds behind Ben.

Tebo & Phend successful at Psycho Nitro Blast

The city of White Pine in Tennessee hosted the 2020 Psycho Nitro Blast this past weekend, attracting 346 drivers and 744 entries. In the premier Pro Nitro Buggy class it was Team Associated’s Spencer Rivkin with the overall TQ from Agama’s Tyler Jones in 2nd. In the 30-minute main final none of the two would really shine after an entertaining start to the main as it was 9th place qualifier, Tekno RC’s Joe Bornhorst who would take the leat at about the seven minute mark that he would swap with 10th place qualifier, Seth VanDalen (Tekno RC) and 8th place qualifier, Jared Tebo (Tekno RC), the latter established himself in the lead in the closing stages to take the win a narrow 1.8 seconds in front of Seth as Mugen’s Ryan Maifield retained his 3rd qualifying position another 4.8 seconds behind. Spencer Rivkin and Adam Drake (Mugen) would round out the top 5 results.

XRS Czech Republic Off-road – Announcement

The RC Divoke Jeleni club of Horni Jeleni, Czech Republic will host the Xray Racing Series Off-road from the 25th to 27th of September. The event will be held in Pro Nitro Buggy, Pro E-Buggy, Nitro Buggy Hobby and E-Buggy Hobby categories and more information can soon be found here.
