Following some connection issues at the track in Hrotovice, Czech Republic, all the A-main videos from both the Modified and Pro Stock classes of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series Round 2 are now online.

Neo11 – Race Announcement

Neo11 - Race Announcement

Neo Buggy & DXR have announced that the Neo Race for 2011, Neo11, will be held 22nd to 25th of April 2011, the 6th running of the race and 5th at the Harper Adams indoor facility. The timetable will be similar to the last event, a 4 day format is planned with practice on Friday 22nd, six rounds of qualifying on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th finishing off with finals on the Monday (25th). Qualifying will use 7 minute heats and the best four rounds from six will count. After the Dash4Cash success at Neo2010 the organizers plan to add a few more ‘special races’ to the schedule which should provide entertainment every day. The entry date will be announced soon.

Salven & Chiu win Xceed TRS Asia Cup

Salven & Chiu win Xceed TRS Asia Cup

The 3rd annual Xceed TRS Asia Cup was held in Shanghai, China just a weekend ago with over 50 drivers from 13 countries participating. In the 1/8 class, it was Michael Salven who took TQ and the win over second place Suruth from Thailand, while in third was Howard Zuo from Taiwan. In the 1/10 Sedan class, Samual Chiu of Hong Kong driving his NT-1 battled TQ Wang Hai Feng from China to win by only 1.1 seconds. Both drivers exchanged the race lead over 15 times in the 30 minute final. Wang Hai Feng drove a Mugen MTX4 and is China’s number one electric touring car driver in this his very first nitro race. In third place was Per-ola Hard from Sweden.

Volker & Dankel make it 2 out of 2

Volker & Dankel make it 2 out of 2

Ronald Volker and Eric Dankel remain the men to beat in the 2010/11 Yokomo Euro Touring Series, the German drivers making it 2 out of 2 here in the Czech Republic.  Like in Kastellaun both drivers started from pole position and although they were made to work much harder this time round they leave Hrotovice with the perfect score in their respective championship standings.

Volker takes first Leg in Hrotovice

Volker takes first Leg in Hrotovice

Top Qualifier Ronald Volker has won the opening leg of the Xenon Modified A Mains in what was a pretty uneventful race.  The Yokomo driver got out of shape over the dots at the first corner but managed to stay in front despite Marc Rheinard’s best efforts throughout the race, the pair finishing well clear of third placed Freddy Sudhoff.

Volker wraps up pole position in Czech Republic

Ronald Volker will start tomorrow’s Xenon Modified A Final from pole position after putting the overall TQ honours beyond the reach of his rivals.  Making it four out of four, the Team Yokomo driver topped the penultimate round of qualifying here in Hrotovice despite a valiant effort from defending ETS champion Marc Rheinard who missed out by just 3/100ths on knocking the Kastellaun winner off the top for the first time this weekend.

No surprises in Czech Republic as Volker takes Q1

The first qualifier for the second round of the 2010/11 ETS has been run and to no ones great surprise it is Ronald Volker who remains the man to beat. The Yokomo driver was the only person to break 25 laps with a time of 5:11.417 with Marc Rheinard second fastest on 24 laps in 5:00.231.

Teams ready for battle in Hrotovice

The opening round of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series was all about one driver and one team with Ronald Volker dominating proceedings to give Team Yokomo their first ever win in the series. In the weeks since Kastellaun the opposition have been busy trying to ensure this is not repeated with Volker admitting himself he expects a much tougher challenge from Tamiya and Xray here.
