Jared Tebo sweeps Thornhill Racing Circuit club race

Thornhill Racing Circuit of Hutto, Texas held a club race this past weekend, attracting nearly 100 entries. In the premier Nitro Buggy class it was Tekno RC’s Jared Tebo with the overall TQ and he also came out on top in the 30-minute A-main event, leaving behind Xray’s Ethan Lefebvre in 2nd, some two laps down as Jared’s Tekno RC teammate, Tyler Hooks completed the top 3 results another 13 seconds back.

Chris Wheeler wins at MOD 5th & 8th Scale Champs

The Fear Farm track hosted the MOD 5th & 8th Scale Champs last weekend with nearly 150 entries for the main 1/5th and supporting 1/8th scale off-road classes. 1/8th Open Truggy saw TLR driver, Chris Wheeler taking the win with a 2-lap margin on Vareck Wright (Mugen) on the runner-up spot. Frank Lagomarsino (Xray) came in 3rd overall, another four seconds back.

Setser & Gonzalez win at Memorial Day race

SS Hobbies & Raceway in Tampa, Florida hosted their Memorial Day race last Sunday and Monday, attracting some of the state’s fastest off-road racers. 2WD Modified Buggy saw Lee Setser with the overall TQ and he also came out on top after the single 6-minute A-main event, leaving behind 2nd place qualifier, Julien Oliveras in 2nd and 3rd place qualifier, Paul Wynn in 3rd. Kenny Setser, Jason Ruona and Ryan Casteline completed the top 6 results.

Paul Wynn wins at Carpet Wars Rd1

Beachline Raceway of Cocoa, Florida held round 1 of the Carpet Wars series last weekend, attracting over 60 entries. 2WD Modified Buggy saw Julien Oliveras taking the overall TQ, however it was Paul Wynn who would hold the upper hand after the single 5-minute A-main with both swapping the lead several times. Ultimately Julien had to settle for 2nd overall, some eleven seconds back as Tyler Rimes, Kyle Paquette and Kai Goff completed the top 5 results.

Spencer Klein TQs & wins at Shaw’s R/C Shop club race

Shaw’s R/C Shop of Ardmore, Oklahoma held a pretty well attended club race last weekend, that attracted a total of 95 entries. In 1/8th Sportsman E-Buggy it was Mugen’s Spencer Klein with the overall TQ and he also came out swinging in the single 10-minute A-main event, leaving behind 6th place qualifier, Trevor Naul (Team Associated) in 2nd already a lap down. 7th place qualifier, Randy Lathorp (Team Associated) came in 3rd while Mark Santamaria (Tekno RC) and Isaak Hamby (TLR) completed the top 5 result.

Joaquin Desoto wins at Nugget’s Ranch Raceway

Nugget’s Ranch Raceway of Arcadia, Florida held a race event last weekend, attracting some of the state’s fastest nitro and electric on-road racers. In the premier class of 1/8th Open it was Joaquin Desoto Sr. (Serpent) with the win in the 20-minute A-main event, a lap in front of Peter Breton (Shepherd). Hector Lopez (ARC) came in 3rd overall, another two laps down.

EFRA announce 2020 40+ Euros cancellations

Due to the ongoing World-wide Corona pandemic, the EFRA has announced the cancellation of all European Championships for 2020. This means that, following the cancellations of the 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring, Large Scale On-road and Off-road, was well as the Nitro Buggy and IC Track Euros, also the 2020 40+ IC Track and 40+ 1/8th Off-road events will not take place this year. Dillon Caldwell wins at Saturday Night Club Race

Mike’s Gulf Coast Raceway of Porter, Texas held their Saturday Night Club Race last weekend, attracting nearly 75 entries. The race was held in single Open Nitro Buggy, Electric Buggy, and Nitro/Electric Truggy classes as well as a single Novice category and in Open Nitro Buggy it was Dillon Caldwell with the overall TQ and he would also come out on top in the single 15-minute A-main event, leaving behind Cody Babbitt in 2nd and Micah Smith in 3rd.
