We briefly touched on the Kyosho Masters race, that was held last weekend outside Paris, France, last Sunday. For those who want to see the action, our friends at RC Mag have released some video footage from both the Elite buggy final (above) and the truggy finals (below). On the 15th to 16th of August, the ACO racing track in Fanling, Hong Kong will play host to the Xray Asian Championship Nitro Touring Challenge. Open only to racers with the 1/10th scale Xray NT1 chassis, using a Protoform body shell, your entry fee will not only let you take part but includes Tornado fuel for the duration of the event, a Dinner buffet on Sunday night and free transport to and from the track and the official hotel. Martin and Juraj Hudy will be present, not only to compete but will also be giving Tech talks and helping drivers with their cars throughout the weekend. Revelation Raceway hosted the O’Donnell Summer Championships last weekend and the event attracted a large group of quality drivers taking part. Adam Drake was top qualifier in both the buggy and truggy expert classes and in buggy he was able to win the 40 minute race by nearly 17 seconds ahead of O’Donnell racer Steven Hartson in 2nd, and another Losi driver Matt Schreffler in 3rd. In the truggy main, The Drake didn’t have it all his own way and could only manage 2nd, 4 laps down on team mate Kyle Johnson, while Dylan Rodriguez claimed 3rd spot for O’Donnell. Robert Wickham won both buggy and truggy amateur class, the latter from TQ, driving his Losi 8ight chassis’.
The GM Masters race took place last weekend in Bischofsheim. Qualifying saw Jörn Neumann take the pole position winning 3 out of the 5 qualifiers and was the only driver to make 8 laps in the heats, with his Orion powered Losi 8ight 2.0. Behind Jörn was Maximilian Cordts in 2nd and Gerhard Frank in 3rd. Jörn was able to win his semi final and would start the 30 minutes main event from pole position. In the final Jörn won by 1 lap over 2nd place Gerhard Frank with Torsten Flaegel in 3rd.
RC Mag are reporting on the Kyosho Masters race which was being held this weekend at a track outside Paris. With a lot of international racers in attendance from all around Europe as well as Japan and the USA, it was to once again be an exciting event to showcase the products of the Japanese manufacturer. In the Elite buggy class it was Jerome Aigoin that took the top spot in qualifying in front of Linus Thern in 2nd, while in the truggy class it was again Jerome Aigoin who was fastest ahead of Cody King. In the buggy semi, Jerome had problems and wouldn’t move up to the main event which would see Linus Thern on pole position. In the race itself, it was Cody who would win the event, setting the fastest lap in the race, to finish in front of newly crowned Euro B Champion David Ronnefalk from Sweden, with another American, Tyler Vik claiming 3rd. In the truggy final, Jerome was able to make amends for his poor buggy race by winning the final by 7 seconds ahead of Linus Thern, while young David Ronnefalk took his second podium of the day in 3rd.

The annual Endas Italian Championship took place last weekend at Segrates circuit near Milan. Under the supervision of Mr. Spatuzzi, Mr. Magni, Mr. Taccani and Mr. Colombo it was one of the best organised and presented Endas race in recent years. Qualifying for the modified class went the way of Andrea Simari, with Andrea Nerone in 2nd and Luca Radaelli in 3rd, while in the 10.5T stock class, after a hard fight Giorgio Montagna took the TQ spot followed by Marco Puleo in 2nd position and Luigi Viola in 3rd. Weather conditions were very hot due to a strong sun during the day and the asphalt temperature reached 56°C with an air temperature close to 35 degrees making it very critical for some ESC and motors. After some strong performances in the main finals, first place in the modified class went to Andrea Nerone with Luca Radaelli in 2nd and Max Micheli in 3rd. In the stock class (above) the win was taken by GP Batteries and Matrix driver Marco Puleo, with Tony Simari in 2nd place and Ruggero Zanusso in 3rd spot. GP Batteries and Matrix tyres supported the event with GP Batteries offering anyone the opportunity to try the company’s new GP4300 and GP5300 LiPo.

This years running of the annual Much More UK GP took place last weekend at the Stonehaven circuit in Scotland. Qualifying for the modified class went the way of current British National Champion Chris Grainger, just in front of Olly Jefferies in 2nd and Dutch driver Niels Koenekoop in 3rd, while in the Pro Stock class, it was Graham Kenny up front followed by Tom Jefferies and Scott Kenny. Conditions remained dry for most of the day, however a rain shower after the first leg of mains mixed things up a bit but dried quickly. Schumacher racer Chris Grainger carried through his pace from qualifying to take the overall title with 2 leg wins, with Niels Koenekoop driving the TOP Photon won leg 3 and took 2nd overall. Team Associated driver Alan Bickerstaff completed the podium in 3rd. In the Pro Stock class, Graham Kenny won the first leg but struggled in the next two, while Tom Jefferies won the final 2 legs to take the overall class title from Scott Kenny in 2nd and Mark Musgrove in 3rd.

Jilles Groskamp has made his intentions clear for this summer’s European Championships by winning last weekend’s International Touring Car race held on the Mini Circuit de la Ville, the same track as the main event in August. The race which attracted top drivers from around Europe looking to get extra track time ahead of the official warm-up, saw Groskamp take a clear pole position, winning all 5 rounds to line up ahead of team mates Yannic Pruemper, Marc Rheinard and Viktor Wilck. In the finals Jilles could take the win in the first leg, with World Champion Rheinard taking the 2nd leg to keep the race alive going into the final leg. Jilles could again take the win in the 3rd and final leg to take the overall win from Rheinard in 2nd, with Wilck moving up 3rd overall after a bad first leg.
