David Todd Nieto wins at Spanish B Buggy Champs Rd1

The opening round of the Spanish Nitro Buggy B Championship was held at the La Nucia track last weekend, drawing over 40 entries. Young David Todd Nieto was the driver to beat all weekend as he took the overall TQ and also win in the 45-minute A-main event, leaving behind Joaquin Moreno in 2nd, some 21 seconds back. Roberto Garcia Rodero, who challenged David in the opening stages, had to settle for 3rd overall, another four seconds back.

Westrup TQs & wins at SDRC Supercross Series Rd2

Round 2 of the SDRC Supercross Series was held this past weekend, attracting over 70 entries. TLR driver, Eli Westrup took the overall TQ and also the win in the 2WD Mod Buggy class from the Team Associated duo of Kevin King in 2nd and Zack Miller in 3rd. Chris Raceles and Tito Gonzalez came in 4th and 5th respectively.

Seungjong Lee TQs & wins at GRC Indoor Masters Rd5

Round 5 of the GRC Indoor Masters were held in South Korea this past weekend with Seungjong Lee taking the TQ and win in the competitive Touring FWD class. Byoungwook Park came in 2nd overall as Dohyeok Kwon and Jaegyu Kim completed the top 4 results.

Michele Manzo wins at Swiss Indoor Championship

Round 4 of the Swiss Indoor Championship was hosted by the Mini Racing Chiasso club this past weekend. The event was held in a total of seven electric on-road classes and in Touring Modified it was Awesomatix driver, Michele Manzo with the overall TQ after winning three of the four qualifying rounds. The triple A-mains again saw Michele leading the way and with wins in all legs he took the overall from Antonino Mangiaracina (Awesomatix) in 2nd while Philipp Huber came in 3rd from best-of-the-rest, Khounmy Bui in 4th.

Berg doubles at TMK Raceway Open Club Champs

The TMK Raceway of Tomelilla, Sweden held their Open Club Championship this past weekend in 2WD and 4WD Buggy classes. The control tyre was a 45 shore foam for the front and a 35 foam for the rear, a setup that gained some popularity lately as it makes for fun and competitive racing on EOS carpet that already took some beating. The qualifying in both classes was lead by HB Racing’s Hampus Berg and the young man also lead the opening 2WD A-main until he hit a curb, 2-wheeled and flipped his buggy, putting him dead last. Ultimately he was able to recover to 2nd again following one of his best drives ever witnessed. A2 and A3 then were business as usual as Hampus lead the way to take the win in 2WD from Victor Gunnarsson (HB Racing) in 2nd and Oscar Berg (HB Racing), Hampus’ little brother, in 3rd. Over in 4WD Hampus took wins in A1 and A2 for an early overall from Joel Rosengren (Team Associated) in 2nd and Peter Blomgren (Xray) in 3rd.

Mauritian EP On-road Championship Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the Mauritian Electric On-road Championship took place this past weekend at the RLMC RC track in Touring 10.5T Boosted and 1/8th Rallygame classes. In 1/10th Touring 10.5T Boosted it was Jovanni Appasamy with the win from Vansh Anjaheb on the runner-up spot. Danen Conjamalay ended the day on the 3 spot.

Rasmussen TQs & wins at Danish On-road Champs Rd4

Round 4 of the Danish Electric On-road Championship was hosted by the Birkerød Radio Control Club this past weekend, attracting nearly 80 entries. In the Formula class, that sees an increase in popularity again, it was Jesper Rasmussen with the overall TQ from Ole Strandlyst in 2nd. In the triple A-mains Jesper again excelled and following wins in all three legs he brought home the overall from Kim Nielsen in 2nd and Ole Strandlyst in 3rd.

Cole Tollard doubles at 2020 Motorama

The 2020 Motorama event took place in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania this past weekend, attracting some of the fastest 1/8th off-road and dirt oval racers of the region. On the 1/8th dirt track it was Cole Tollard with the overall TQs in Expert Buggy and Expert and Cole would also bring home the overall victories in both categories, with 1-2-1 finishes in the triple 5-minute Expert Buggy A-mains while he wrapped up the Expert Truggy win already after the second A-main, allowing him to sit out A3. In Expert Buggy Ethan MacKanick And Paul Cicarello would round out the top 3 result while in Expert Truggy it was Adam Johnson and Anthony Mazzara who would round out the top 3.
