Ciccarello wins at 1st Annual Night Of The Living Nitros

Beans RC in Sherrodsville, Ohio held the 1st Annual Night Of The Living Nitros recently. In 1/8th E-Buggy it was Xray’s Paul Ciccarello who would take the win by almost a lap with Tekno RC’s Joey Bourdon 2nd and Agama’s Ryan Lutz in 3rd.

Davide Ongaro takes Italian Nitro Buggy title

Round 4 of the 2019 Italian 1/8th Off-road Championship was hosted by the Miniautodromo Casa Mora track in Castiglione della Pescaia last weekend. Xray’s Marco Baruffolo would walk away with the overall TQ after the qualifiers, however in the 45-minute A-main event he had to settle for 3rd overall as Team Associated’s Davide Ongaro took the win and with it his 3rd overall championship title. The runner-up spot at round 4 would be obtained by Kyosho’s Marco Baruffolo.

Nicolas Bregante wins at Metropolitan Champs Rd9

Round 9 of the Metropolitan Touring Eco Championship was held at the Herman Matticoli Circuit in Buenos Aires recently. 1/8th off-road specialist, Nicolas Bregante had no problems to adapting to tarmac and was able to walk away with the win, leaving behind Luciano Capel on the runner-up spot. Gianni Lupacciolu rounded out the top 3 podium result.

X-Factory UK Winter Series Rd1 – Report

The first round of the X-Factory UK Winter Series took place last Saturday at the new venue in Aldenham. A fast, but technical track greeted the racers and after the four rounds of qualifying it was Ellis Stafford (Schumacher) who would take the TQ in the 2WD class, followed by William Venebles (Team Associated) in 2nd, Mark Lewis (Team Associated) in 3rd, Richard Miller (Yokomo) in 4th, Joe Renton (Team Associated) in 5th and Lee Hedges (Xray) in 6th, with the remaining A final spots would be filled from the bump ups via the lower finals. In 4WD, TQ went to Darren Boyle (LC Racing) from Sam Breton (Corally) in 2nd and Oliver Szymanksi (Corally) in 3rd.

2019 The Dirt Buggyland Challenge – Announcement

The 2019 The Dirt Buggyland Challenge will be held November 22nd to 24th at Thunder Alley Raceway in Beaumont, California. The event brings together two icons of 1/8th off-road racing in the form of Joey Christensen’s The Dirt Racing and the Spanish Buggyland crew and it will see the running of Pro, Sportsman and Intermediate Nitro and Electric Buggy and Truggy classes as well as a single Short Course Truck category. There will be practice on Friday with racing on Saturday and Sunday. Included in the event are fun and challenging “racer games” such as a foot race, mechanics as drivers race along with a few more surprises. Many of USA’s top professionals will be in attendance including Jared Tebo, Cole Ogden, Joe Bornhorst, Adam Drake, Ryan Cavalieri and more. That all is happening on a brand new track designed and built by both The Dirt Racing and the Buggyland creator Miguel. More information and sign-up can be found here.

GEMC Series Rd5 – Report

The 5th and final round of the GenevaModelCars Series was held at the GEMC track in Meyrin, Geneva recently with 43 drivers attending in the classes of Touring 13.5T boosted and Formula 21.5T zero timing. The layout chosen for the final round was challenging, as it was both technical and fast at the same time. In the Touring 13.5T boosted class, that is run on Hudy A1-36 spec tyres and without traction compound, Bastien De Marco secured the pole position followed by Xavier Deparde and Alexis Banderier. After three entertaining A-mains, Bastien took the overall win, in front of Xavier and Arnaud Soulignac.

Xray Racing Series Poland Rd1 – Report

The Makis/Atlas Arena played host to the opening round of the Xray Racing Series Poland with about 150 drivers attending in the 1/10th off-road classes. The track was built using EOS carpet and was quite a challenge for the drives due to its fast nature and some corner jumps. The Modified Buggy classes were dominated by the two young Xray drivers Bartek Zalewski and Bartek Kramza. In 2WD Mod Buggy it was Bartlomiej Kramza with the win as Bartek Zalewski had to settle for 2nd overall. Wojciech Migal came in 3rd to round out the podium.
