Louth RCCC Schumacher Winter Series Rd1 – Report
The past weekend saw the running of the Schumacher Winter Series presented by the Louth Radio Control Car Club. The series in its third year and in conjunction with Schumacher Racing, remained the same with the rules and format focusing on the racing and not the budget of the racers. This year the classes remained the same with 13.5 Blinky, 17.5 Open, Tamiya Euro Trucks, GT12 and the additional of the Tamiya M-Chassis and MTC. Clashes with other events would see the numbers at a solid 50, as drivers rolled in for an action packed day of racing. Chris Lovely would be in control of the 13.5 class, taking three rounds of qualifying, Andrew Green would take 2nd with his TQ run, whilst the battle for 3rd was close between Daniel Burks and Joseph Cocking. Callum Chapman and Lisa Keen would make the main final and round out the proceedings.
