Bowie Ginting wins at Jakarta EP On-road regionals Rd2

The second round of Jakarta Electric On-road regionals was held at Sunter International Speedway, Jakarta. A clear sky made and hot weather made for sizzling track temperatures and overheating tyres towards the end of the 5-minute runs. The opening qualifier of the Touring class was won by Bowie Ginting after a mistake of Suwardi Suliandy while in Q2 Bowie cruised to a comfortable win, some four seconds in front of Suwardi and Christian Mamesah. Belgian Electric On-road Nationals Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the Belgian Electric On-road Nationals was held at the GTM indoor track in Vosselaar. The race was highly anticipated and every driver was eager to show his best for the sole carpet race of the season. Over the winter, the pecking order had been a bit reshuffled. The new rules stipulated that the 17.5 Touring class would be primarily for beginners and this meant that most of the top runners in this class entered in the new 13.5 Stock class, which is being run according to ETS rules. On the other hand, Rico Claeys, the 2016 Stock champion, entered the Modified Touring class. With the absence of multiple Belgian Modified and Formula champion Oliver Buyltinck, and Formula front runner Steve Deblaere, everyone expected some new faces on top of the rostrum.

Coelho wins ETS Spain

Bruno Coelho has drawn first blood at the first asphalt race of the Euro Touring Series season, the Xray driver winning with relative ease with another win in A2 on the championship’s first visit to Spain.  Top Qualifier for the Madrid based third round, having dominating the opening final, the reigning champion looked like he might have to work a bit harder second time round. With Marc Rheinard make a much stronger start and keeping with the reigning champion with Ronald Volker in toe, initially a more interesting race looked on the cards but it was short lived.  With his Infinity stepping out in the first right hander of the lap, Rheinard would spin out, his race effectively done. While Volker would take up the challenge for a time, even with Coelho having a big moment at the end of the straight, the Portuguese ace would complete the perfect weekend to extend his lead in the championship with his parents on hand to watch his master class.
