DJ Apolaro wins at Florida Nitro Series Rd3

Round 3 of the Florida Nitro Series was held in Fort Myers, Florida last weekend in several 1/8th and 1/10th nitro on-road classes. In 1/10th 200mm Sedan it was Paolo Morganti with the overall TQ, however in the 30-minute A-main event it was DJ Apolaro who would hold the upper hand. taking the win some 10 laps in front of Paolo as Sean Kong rounded out the top 3 podium result. Over in the GT8 class it was Rino Lino with the TQ and win, taking the victory some 18 laps in front of Howard Stamen while Sebastien Prigue came in 3rd, another six laps down.

HNMC Winter Series Rd10 – Report

Round 10 of the popular HNMC Winter Series was held this past weekend with a strong 104 drivers entry. Qualifying would be a three-way battle in Nitro Buggy with Callum Niblet taking it from Graham Alsop and Jamie Clancy by 0.5 of a second. Truggy top qualifier was Brinley Tourle and E-Buggy went to Darren Hayden-Ball. The 20-minutes Nitro Buggy A-final saw Graham Alsop taking the win with a 0.2s margin from Callum Niblet in 2nd. 3rd place went to Lewis Jones with three seconds separating the top 3. The Truggy class had Warabe Tatekoji taking the win from Darren Roper 2nd and John Afshin 3rd. Finally in the E-Buggy class it was Darren Hayden-Ball from Erik Lyke and Russ Brown.

Oskar Navarro wins at Madrid Buggy regionals Rd1

The opening round of the Madrid 1/8th Buggy regionals was held at the Circuito Rozas de Puerto Real track this past weekend, attracting over 40 entries for the single 1/8th Nitro Buggy class. Oskar Navarro took the overall TQ in front of Dani Vega with Juanma Guillen coming in 3rd. In the 45-minute main final it was again Oskar Navarro who would hold the upper hand, bringing home a narrow 1.5s win in front of a recovering Juanma Guillen while Dani Vega had to settle for 3rd overall in front of Daniel Pariente and Oscar Martin.

Joan Espasa wins at Catalonian Off-road Champs opener

The Racbsa Montjuic track in Barcelona hosted the opening round of the Catalonian 1/8th off-road regional championship this past weekend. Carlos Pineda swept the qualifiers to take the overall TQ in front of Joan Espasa and young Marc Janer. The 45-minute main final then saw Joan Espasa (Xray) taking the win some 30 seconds in front of Alex Valls (Mugen) as Carlos Pineda (Team Associated) completed the top 3 podium result.

Ryan Cavalieri wins at Revelation Raceway Club race

Revelation Raceway of of Ontario, California held a club race this past weekend, attracting local talent alongside the likes of SWorkz’s Ryan Cavalieri and Tekno RC’s Jared Tebo. The two tried to get some laps in in preparation of the forthcoming Dirt Nitro Challenge and they would battle it out in the Nitro Buggy class. Ultimately it was Ryan with the TQ and win as Jared came in 2nd, some 14 seconds short of Ryan due to too many mistakes. Mugen’s Javier Perez ended the race in 3rd, three laps behind the top 2.

Jake Mayo signs with FX Engines

FX Engines and RC America have announced the signing of US top driver, Jake Mayo to their team. Jake will be using FX engines to power his Xray rides for the 2019 season, attending races such as the Dirt Nitro Challenge and the ROAR nationals.

Nemo Racing sign Ben Sterling

Nemo Racing have announced the signing of Australia’s Ben Sterling to their factory team. The former HB Racing driver is considered one of Australia’s fastest 1/8th off-road racers and he will be using Agama kits in his campaign that will include all major Australian as well as international races.

Pelle Culmsee doubles at Danish 1/8th opener

The opening round of the Danish 1/8th Off-road Nationals was hosted by the RC Center Skive last weekend. In the 1/8t Nitro Buggy class, run on Sunday, it was Pelle Culmsee with the overall TQ in front of Daniel Bubel and Thomas Hansen. In the 45-minute main final Pelle would hold the upper hand, taking the win a lap in front of Daniel Bubel as Daniel Rose rounded out the top 3 result. Over in the E-Buggy category, held on Saturday, it was also Pelle Culmsee with the TQ as Daniel Bubel and Jakob Larsen came in 2nd and 3rd on the grid. The triple A-mains would see Pelle taking pretty dominant wins for the overall in front of Daniel Bubel and Danny Kwiatkowski.
